The satisfying Shadenfreude of seeing Trump arrested and hauled before a kangaroo court is being countered by the paranoia that when Trump wins, they all have their informal immunities dropped by default and new precedence. That's the reason even his 'enemies' and counter stooges don't want this.

Same with investigating a candidate: it's taboo this year because our guy is the challenger but it was perfectly ok when our guy was the incumbent. And vice versa. Politics do this to people.

No, this is simply corruption.

Dual standards are corruption, nothing more.

If Trump is guilty of a crime, prosecute him. If Hillary Clinton is guilty of a crime prosecute her. Same for Joe Biden, Hunter Biden, Mitt Romney, Barack Obama, John McCain, George W. Bush, John Kerry, Al Gore, etc.

If they engage in selective prosecution, it's simply corruption.

Lol, even Bolton, who hates Trump.

If we had a rule of law, Bolton would be executed. The fact that Trump has been brought up on desperate bullshit charges, means that Bolton can be drawn up on real charges - because that fucker should be executed. That fucker produced propaganda that murdered 100's of thousands of people, and we hung assholes that did this in 1946 Germany.

He should be executed.

I've hear this hypothesis as well.

I don't believe it. Hypocrisy has no bounds. If our legal system was fair, Biden (both of them) would be prosecuted, and Clinton, and Obama, and Bush - that's not going to happen.

Looks like Stormy has got to pay even more Trump legal bills:

In all, Daniels has been ordered to pay more than $600,000 in Trump’s legal fees, tweeted Harmeet Dillon, one of his attorneys in the case.
That includes some $300,000 in attorney's fees that Daniels previously was ordered to pay. After a federal appeals court upheld that award last year

That horrible asshole was just lying about everything she stated, She was the daughter of the Kuwaiti ambassador. There is ZERO possibility that our intelligence community didn't know who she was, or that she was lying.

Our government promoted propaganda to start a war, this piglet was just a tool for it, and it's a pig now.

That was 30 years ago, and our government has not reformed, they have quadrupled down.

We've had many low points, but in comparison to what is happening now, having the asshole slagheap of the daughter of the Kuwaiti ambassador lie to produce propaganda to start a war is now a step up. That's how fucking bad we've gotten. That cunt asshole is a high point now.

Any morality or righteousness in our government is now gone. It's entirely criminal now. We found out that Nayirah al-Ṣabaḥ was the ambassador's daughter because we still had reporters that spoke it, 5 years after the fact. Do we have that now? Our entire "news" system is now entirely propaganda, and we have a blatant, obvious two tiered justice system. We're in a tyranny now.

Seymour Hersh posted to Substack on the Nordstream bombing. You know why? Because he knew NO "mainstream news" would report it. It's the most obvious fucking thing in the world, and our "news" won't report on it. "Russia did it".

Judge Overseeing DA Bragg’s Anti-Trump Case Is a Biden Donor

Judge Merchan suggested but did not order President Trump to stop tweeting or talking about the case. The judge set the next court hearing in the case for December, because he’s so very busy with other, more important cases or something. That means the circus resumes right before the primaries begin. ...

🔥 Bragg’s indictment has 34 counts of the same exact “crime,” alleging 34 separate violations of the exact same New York Penal Code §175.10, for “falsifying business records in the first degree.” All 34 counts are based on one single transaction, the one single payment of $130K to Stormy Daniels. Bragg boosted the charges to a whopping 34 by counting every microscopic stage of the transaction as a separate crime. ...

I could not find a single case in New York’s legal history where a defendant was charged separately for all the parts of the same transaction under § 175.10.

To pump the mis-accounting charge up to a felony, Bragg also must prove that Trump’s INTENT in paying Cohen’s legal retainer was not just to cover up his sordid relationship with the sex worker, but to cover up another CRIME, which presumably would be the campaign finance violation.

But so far, DA Bragg has refused to identify what the other crime is, even when directly asked by reporters. It’s goofy, and that’s a tell. ...

Penal Code § 175.10 is one sentence long, and itself requires proof of a lesser crime, misdemeanor falsifying business records, under the immediately previous statute, § 175.05. That statute describes the crime:

So, Bragg must prove two “elements”: (1) that Trump had an “intent to defraud” somebody when the accountant miscoded the expenses, and (2) Trump personally directed the false entry to be made in the “business records.”

The whole case revolves around Trump’s bookkeeper entering Cohen’s invoices into the accounting system and calling them “legal expenses” instead of … what? Buying story rights? Donations to Trump’s campaign? Bragg doesn’t say what they should’ve been called instead.

What would YOU call payments to your lawyer?

Under the New York law, to qualify as a crime, the false record can’t be just any old business record. It has to be something that would cause other people to be defrauded, like investors, or an insurance company. ...

As far as I can tell, Trump’s legal expense entries didn’t create any financial advantage for the “enterprise,” and nobody depended on them that was or could have been defrauded. So it’s not clear to me that the Cohen invoices and payments were the type of business records that could be subject to the statute.

🔥 But Bragg’s biggest problem is proving intent. He doesn’t just have to prove intent, he must prove TWO separate intents: an “intent to defraud” related to the Cohen payments, PLUS an intent to cover up a second crime, the campaign finance violation. That’s the only way Bragg can reach a felony level of “falsification.”

Not only that, but Bragg must prove both those intents “beyond a reasonable doubt” — the highest standard of proof under the law. OJ Simpson walked because they couldn’t prove murder beyond a reasonable doubt. “If the glove don’t fit, you must acquit.”

In other words, it doesn’t matter whether the coding for “legal fees” was actually incorrect, or whether a campaign reporting violation actually occurred. Bragg has to prove that Trump — in his own mind — both intended to deceive people to get a financial advantage, and also intended avoid reporting legitimate campaign expenses in a criminal way.

168   Ceffer   2023 Apr 8, 11:37am

He will never be convicted. It's all so bogus that every legal analyst is aghast at both the indictment, the judge and the disgraced NY DA office fall from grace. It's the continued buffonization corruption of the system.

Bragg is an ignorant slut apparatchik.
169   Ceffer   2023 Apr 8, 5:04pm

Seeing that the corruption is taking place in real time is what is educating the world observers about what is really going on here The judge is going along with it because he is afraid for his 'social status'? Crimeny. These city states need to be cut off from the Republic, they can be their own corrupt fiefdoms. Let them stew in their babble jabberwock as cross border towns.

I'm aware of this, this is just bullshit that filters into their mind because "they heard it", and not necessarily from television.

People are sheep. You know the NPC meme - it's totally true. All they have to hear is what "the consensus is", and adopt it. They don't think about it, they just accept it. They aren't obsessively watching to or listening to "news", they just hear it from a coworker, or a friend, and that's all it takes.

Everything is repeated endlessly. Not just in "news" but on the late night funny man show complete with laugh track and/or applause signs. It's in Saturday Night Live, it's in television "entertainment" programs. It's everywhere. Star Trek Strange New Worlds had a segment where they displayed footage from the "January 6th insurrection".

People just can't believe that everybody around them can be brainwashed and they can't believe they can be brainwashed. They hear about protests, they hear "Trump is a racist", they never get examples, I mean - if it wasn't true, SOMEBODY would tell them, right? I might, I'm the crank, I'm the "crazy person", because I challenge them and say "well, what exactly did he do that was racist?", and this triggers their fear response, I've caught them spouting bullshit, they don't know so it's easier for them to think I'm a "white supremacist" than for them to think "hey, maybe I've been fooled".

I've done this COUNTLESS times, I just pretend I'm ignorant, and they often fall back "haven't you heard it on the news?" - I've heard them CALL him that, but I don't know why, surely you must know why. I hear (sometimes) the "there are good people on both sides" - I have that video, but it's not immediately handy, so I will pull it up later - well "you're just making excuses".

I know exactly how propaganda works now. People are afraid of being exposed as being intellectual frauds, and most people people are. I'm a rarity in that I don't give a fuck about my status, I want to know the truth and I'll speak it. Most people like me just take advantage of people like them. They consider it hopeless, so just go along to get along, and "what does it matter?" - well, it leads down to a complete authoritarian rule, and when THAT is pointed out to them then THEY react with "you think I'm a coward or something asshole???" - yes, yes I do. You will enslave your kids and your grandkids, because it's easy.

There are several filters. First, people just don't know what is going on and accept the narrative. Second people have an idea the narrative is false, but subliminally accept that it's dangerous to go against it, so they just repeat lies. Third, people know exactly what is going on, and recognize it's dangerous, so they lie knowing they lie. Fourth is me, Fuck You Government, and all you pussies. There's plenty of people like me, but we're a tiny minority and we try to bring you into our group.

@PeopleUnited thinks I'm a fucking spook for doing this. I'm just not a fucking traitor to the human species. Does being able to think lead to insurrection? Maybe, I know what the lack of critical thinking does, it leads to tyranny. Reform or revolt.

Here's something for him to think about, "the truth will set you free", and it does, provided you have the courage to speak it. I can be wrong, I can be incorrect, but I will knowingly lie anymore. I'm too old for it. I can see where that leads to now. If I'm making an error, point it out, but I have to understand my error to correct it. I go against the grain a lot, it's not easy. But it's evil not to.
176   PeopleUnited   2023 Apr 9, 8:21pm

When the government screws up there are several options.

1. Whine about it on the internet and spread hatred of the government.

2. Do nothing.

3. Work to change it.

Richwichs practices number one which plays right into the hands of the anarchotyrants who have taken control of many government functions. The constant whining about how the government is evil changes nothing and is borderline pathological repeating butthurt injustice from 20-40 years ago that didn’t gain any traction then and now just sound like bitter old divorcee that can’t get over the past.

Most people do nothing.

The wise seek to change the future of government by getting involved in the process. Start small, at the precinct level, or network with others who are already connected and active and they can help you find a way to be effective.

How exactly was it "povoked"? I keep hearing this "provoked" bullshit, but where are the facts? Was Soviet soil attacked at any time since the war started in 2014? Nope. Not a single Ukie soldier boot stepped across the border. Quite contrary: it's the Soviet troops who exited their military bases in Crimea and attacked Ukrainian installations. And even then not a single shot was fired at them. The further escalation in Dumb Ass had Soviet arty shelling Ukie soil but nothing flying in the opposite direction. There were Soviet VDV troops "accidentally wandering" onto Ukie soil, captured and handed over, but never the other way around. Fast forward 2022: again, not a single Ukie soldier crossed the border, not a single shot fired before full-on attack began after almost a year of documened buildup on the Soviet side with nothing similar happening on the other side of the border. And the whole notion of nuclear power with 2nd army in the world being somehow threatened by a smaller non-nuclear neighbor requires a giant effort at suspending one's disbelief. It's like saying the USA was threatened by a conventional attack by Iraq. Was it really?

Looks like it's not only the liberals who lack critical thinking.

Expansion of NATO east, to include former Soviet republics. A change of Ukraine government in 2014, with Western help, from a pro-Russian government to a pro NATO government, to include a change in the Ukraine constitution that would allow Ukraine to join NATO. At this point, Russia seriously saw the danger of a NATO naval base at Sevastopol, so the Russians annexed Crimea.

I am no fan of Putin, that man is not only head of state and government, but he is also head of the mafia and the intelligence agencies. But we should see that Putin would consider NATO expansion to include Ukraine as an existential threat.

20 to 40 years ago?

Our government has 800 political prisoners because they protested a stolen election. They put us in "lockdown" over a virus THEY created. They are dragging us into WWIII right now, they have abandoned Palestine Ohio but no amount of money is too much for Ukraine, which they overthrew in 2014 and created this war. Our CIA runs drugs to the inner city, they refuse to prosecute Antifa and BLM because they CONTROL them, they just bailed out another bank making stupid investments forcing taxpayers to pay for it, they won't prosecute them, Sam Bankman Fried will walk, the murdered Jeffrey Epstein who was running a child rape ring (and that ring is probably still operational) and they protect the people who engaged in it.

You don't have to look back 20 to 40 years ago.

If you don't understand the problem you won't try to fix the problem.

Good luck "voting harder".

The first step is breaking the propaganda grip held over everybody. That's step one. You don't realize how bad it is, so you're acting like it's 40 years ago, and all you need to do is appeal to the government to reform. Grow up. They aren't going to reform.

This ain't about "right and wrong." What I am pointing out is that it was foolish to push NATO east and not expect a Russian reaction, especially when it comes to Ukraine. Just like Cuba has a "right" to do as it pleases, it was foolish for the Soviets to ignore a possible strong US response to putting in nukes or opening a naval base. Same with Nicaragua and Mig-21s.

It is also foolish to overuse the sanctions based on the dollar and not expect other nations to become concerned and thus find alternatives for the dollar.
