Believe that the Ukraine war was caused by a thoroughly unprovoked Russian invasion

How exactly was it "povoked"? I keep hearing this "provoked" bullshit, but where are the facts? Was Soviet soil attacked at any time since the war started in 2014? Nope. Not a single Ukie soldier boot stepped across the border. Quite contrary: it's the Soviet troops who exited their military bases in Crimea and attacked Ukrainian installations. And even then not a single shot was fired at them. The further escalation in Dumb Ass had Soviet arty shelling Ukie soil but nothing flying in the opposite direction. There were Soviet VDV troops "accidentally wandering" onto Ukie soil, captured and handed over, but never the other way around. Fast forward 2022: again, not a single Ukie soldier crossed the border, not a single shot fired before full-on attack began after almost a year of documened buildup on the Soviet side with nothing similar happening on the other side of the border. And the whole notion of nuclear power with 2nd army in the world being somehow threatened by a smaller non-nuclear neighbor requires a giant effort at suspending one's disbelief. It's like saying the USA was threatened by a conventional attack by Iraq. Was it really?

Looks like it's not only the liberals who lack critical thinking.

Expansion of NATO east, to include former Soviet republics. A change of Ukraine government in 2014, with Western help, from a pro-Russian government to a pro NATO government, to include a change in the Ukraine constitution that would allow Ukraine to join NATO. At this point, Russia seriously saw the danger of a NATO naval base at Sevastopol, so the Russians annexed Crimea.

I am no fan of Putin, that man is not only head of state and government, but he is also head of the mafia and the intelligence agencies. But we should see that Putin would consider NATO expansion to include Ukraine as an existential threat.

Ignorance or intentional stupidity. How long did you think the Russians would allow the neocons to encircle and provoke before they lashed back? Even if I had a sword I would not back a bear into a corner.

How many countries has NATO invaded and annexed? For Russia that's practically a national pastime (and it's one reason why everybody hates Russians)!

Mr. HeadSet, how about the wishes of those who live in the former Soviet republics? Would it not be a natural outcome that Russia be surrounded by NATO if the people of the countries that surround Russia all have similar values, or maybe interests, which are different from those of the Russians?

Richwichs practices number one which plays right into the hands of the anarchotyrants who have taken control of many government functions. The constant whining about how the government is evil changes nothing and is borderline pathological repeating butthurt injustice from 20-40 years ago

20 to 40 years ago?

Our government has 800 political prisoners because they protested a stolen election. They put us in "lockdown" over a virus THEY created. They are dragging us into WWIII right now, they have abandoned Palestine Ohio but no amount of money is too much for Ukraine, which they overthrew in 2014 and created this war. Our CIA runs drugs to the inner city, they refuse to prosecute Antifa and BLM because they CONTROL them, they just bailed out another bank making stupid investments forcing taxpayers to pay for it, they won't prosecute them, Sam Bankman Fried will walk, the murdered Jeffrey Epstein who was running a child rape ring (and that ring is probably still operational) and they protect the people who engaged in it.

You don't have to look back 20 to 40 years ago.

If you don't understand the problem you won't try to fix the problem.

Good luck "voting harder".

The first step is breaking the propaganda grip held over everybody. That's step one. You don't realize how bad it is, so you're acting like it's 40 years ago, and all you need to do is appeal to the government to reform. Grow up. They aren't going to reform.

This ain't about "right and wrong." What I am pointing out is that it was foolish to push NATO east and not expect a Russian reaction, especially when it comes to Ukraine. Just like Cuba has a "right" to do as it pleases, it was foolish for the Soviets to ignore a possible strong US response to putting in nukes or opening a naval base. Same with Nicaragua and Mig-21s.

It is also foolish to overuse the sanctions based on the dollar and not expect other nations to become concerned and thus find alternatives for the dollar.
185   yawaraf   2023 Apr 10, 12:12pm

I agree about the sanctions. They would probably only work it it's all (or mostly all) other countries against one.

It seems that you are saying that a Russian invasion should have been expected once NATO started admitting more members, especially those countries which are closer to Russia. However, would you not say that even in the case of no NATO expansion, a Russian invasion should have been expected?

I would say that the small and weak countries close to Russia's borders must align themselves, either with Russia or with NATO.

Good luck "voting harder".

If your idea of engaging government and being politically active is voting then you may as well stop voting.

Go to meetings, sponsor candidates. Knock on doors, run for office or recruit some one based to run. All politics starts locally.

Government is always changing. Quit whining and make it change for the better.

YEP, OBVIOUSLY.

Was a senile hair sniffing pervert our most popular presidential candidate in all of American history? This mother fucker, you think was elected?

I keep telling you, to fix a problem, you first have to be aware there's a problem. The problem is, that voting doesn't fucking matter.

You still don't fucking realize this at this point, so you can't have any hope of even addressing the problem. "Oh we go door to door" - no fuck that.

HELP the government to change?

Well, maybe I'll help the mafia to change. Maybe I'll go around and try to get the local drug cartel to change. Maybe I can help the Crypts and Bloods to change. I'm sure they want my FUCKING HELP.

Voting ONLY exists to give you the vague impression of "well, we voted for this". DID we? No, we didn't. You still don't realize that. MOST people still don't realize this.

Yes, the states certified the votes and the electoral college voted for the potatus. These people, (state and locally elected officials) are responsible for the votes in their jurisdiction. You or someone you know could do that job. Until you realize that local officials run the election then you don’t understand how to prevent the ongoing fraud.
191   PeopleUnited   2023 Apr 10, 8:54pm

DID we? No, we didn't.

Yes you did. If you did not file a lawsuit to challenge the outcome you are stating by your unwillingness to stand up for your rights, that your rights are not worth defending. Worse than that, you are not even trying to fix the problem with your local officials that likely need to be replaced to restore integrity to the process.

There's mafia thugs that run our vote, but we didn't vote in Biden.

That's what you don't understand, or don't give a shit about. Biden wasn't elected.

The government is simply a criminal syndicate. Nothing more. It's a group of criminals, and until the public accepts this, they can't fix it.

Monetary loss prevents this, it's designed this way.

Even if you put up the money, you "won't have standing".

Stop thinking the mafia is going to fix the mafia.
194   PeopleUnited   2023 Apr 11, 2:59am

You claim the government is the mafia. That is not accurate, only a fool or a FED would spread such lies.

Your neighbors count the votes, certify elections, run the courts and enforce the law (or don’t enforce it). The foundation of the government is your neighbors. They are not mafia, they may be useful idiots (brainwashed and lazy fools) but that’s a far cry from mafia. If you won’t focus on your neighbors nothing will change.

It's good news to see Trump is suing Cohen for violating his attorney:client privilege.
Cohen is a rat bastard who needs to go to prison; actually that's where he is going.
