Now I rile a lot against the tech hype surrounding AI, that is the misuse of AI or the outlandish claims that AI is capable of. I don't want to sound like a luddite that just doesn't believe in the capabilities of technology, because I know technology has great impactful uses. But also in my 30 year career in Computer development and Data model engineering, I have been around enough to know that over stating, over selling, or misrepresenting software capabilities is the bane of every organization that tries. This thread is to recognize the practical uses of AI, where it will accel at, vs where we know other off uses where fail. AI's ability to parse large pixel bitmap data sets and analyze or alter the images they come from. I would even like to use this thread to discus the feasibility of AI in areas where it is untapped but should be a no brainer.
I'm a guitarist, and most midi, arranger or composing software, to tab out a complex guitar part, is a very daunting task. Not only are there notes you're documenting, but where on the neck they are played. Which is the main thing you want tabs over a musical manuscript. I think AI would be great to take video of a guitarist playing on the neck, then make an exact tablature of what the musician played. Depending on the quality of video and articulation of the guitarist playing those notes and chords.
And like I mentioned in an earlier thread. AI for censorship should be employed at submission, rather than trying to filter out large text chunks in a dataset at real-time. Also the user of that site or service, would know immediately upon their first submission how much censorship is in place there. If Twitter did that(The Jack Dorsey Twitter) then I would gauranfuckintee, that more Democrats would have had to alter their text than Conservatives.
