These are free on TubiTV.
Rescue Dawn and Touching the Void.
I saw both of them in theatres, and they were very intense, but very good.
I saw movies by myself in the afternoons, in Santa Cruz there were a bunch of theatres.

Thanks, I just saw two very good movies myself, both mostly in Irish Gaelic, in the last week:

The Quiet Girl (An Cailín Ciúin) https://www.imdb.com/title/tt15109082/
Monster (Arracht) https://www.imdb.com/title/tt9620986/

They're both available to watch on Amazon for a few dollars.

Don't worry, there are subtitles!

Monster is very dark, about the famine.
The Quiet Girl is touching.

Tubi is nice, and for free. A value way beyond compare of any of the paid streaming services dishing out woke nonsense..
Tubi doesn't have any LGBTQect... + nonsense. They also have titles from an era where producers and writers sole purpose was to entertain with classic story telling. The kids have Netflix I notice when they are scrolling through the movie, it's all just Doom and Gloom depressing stories, Woke or Gay ass shit. .

I have a couple of cheap Roku channels.
1. Classic Reel=older movies but some are good
2. Frndly TV=Western TV shows, old shows and movies, MeTV, etc.

Freevee is free and has all of the twilight zone and some other stuff.

KODI with "The Promise" add-on is sweet. Buy an ONN box for $20 from Walmart and learn how to use it and you are good to go. Blue tooth too for headphones or external speakers. Roku sucks.

ONN box

The problem with Android boxes, is they are notoriously pronged to bricking within months of buying them.
There was a year, I bought about 6 or seven different ones back to back and they all broke within a month or two. .

I really liked the Netgear box it had a small keyboard on the back of the remote. Sony had a pricy one, Google TV it was after they quit making TVs for Google. They still made a set top box, for a few years. It also had a keyboard on the remote. I think I bought Logitech and DLink offering. I kept buying more expensive and better ones, thinking they would have the longevity that at least a TV has. None of them held on, they all gave up the ghost. I have Roku players and remotes in drawers that hasn't been plugged in, in years. I'm confident that I were to plug them in they would work.

Yes I do agree the Android experience is way cooler and better than Roku, but the fact is Roku will last Androids don't.

I can buy an ONN box and experiment with it sometime.

The Quiet Girl is touching.

When I touch girls, I prefer they make noise.

I watched a whimsical Wes Anderson flick with a great cast - Moonrise Kingdom, a coming of age story.

Before you judge all android boxes based on your bad experiences, skip 2 combo meals at chipotle and use that money to buy an ONN box. Even if it bricks, at least it won't give you the shits. I have 5 for almost a year and none have failed.

Touching the Void is superb - it grabs you and won't let go. If you want a Blu-ray copy, it's only available as Region B. I ended up getting a region-free player so I could enjoy it.

lots of info online on how to install add-ons...i basically use just "THE PROMISE ADD-ON" and opensubtitiles.org......with it I've been able to watch old stuff from the 50's and 2023 stuff too for free...my wife and her sister are hooked on some TV Novelas from Turkey dubbed in spanish. We have 2 tvs in the BDRM so she can watch her novelas and I watch my shows with bluetooth headphones. LOL..I can't even count how many times I have woken up at 2am with the tv on and my headphones on my head.

Since I'm younger I'm guessing most you guys have heard of these. They're fucking hilarious if you're looking for a shitty cult classic movie.

They have been showing this movie on Pluto TV:

Stereotomy, imagine seeing Touching the Void on a movie screen; I was sitting with my mouth open thinking "holy shit."
