Will mostly roll over and fart when China invades Taiwan.

Which truly will destroy US credibility more than any crap in the MacKinder Pivot.

"Whelp, guess we Filipinos and Japanese and South Koreans can't trust the US for shit, now."

China is NOT going to invade Taiwan.

I'd be very surprised if they do. They don't need to. Taiwan will VOTE to rejoin the mainland, but it will have conditions, of course. They'll want to keep their local government, they will want open trade with China, they will want some level of autonomy.

China doesn't need to invade - the tide is turning in the population anyhow. This may be to their own detriment in the future, but it's on a clear path for reunification. The only reason the US is screaming that China is "about to invade Taiwan" is because the United States is losing influence because of rampant corruption and loss of economic credibility.

I can top that.

I think Joseph Robinette Biden knows that the credibility of the US is shit.

And don't think it's a bad thing that the US credibility is gone. That's a GOOD thing unless you want complete criminals running this country forever. There has to be a crisis to fix this FUCKING government.

Take the sub just imploded - bet that's a wake up call to a lot of companies engaging in this Diversity, Inclusion, and Equity bullshit. That's a good thing. We need to have moral people running this nation, that don't just go to fucking war costing us TRILLIONS to rape and pillage and if we don't have that, we're just another thug nation, like any other.

You can exploit power and influence to a point, until it bites you. Well, nibble nibble asshole oligarchs in charge. Oh, good idea to have all this woke bullshit in the military right? I mean, I'm sure people are being paid off and making a lot of money doing it. That's great, until the nation collapses, and they, their wife, their kids, their grand kids are all fucking murdered by angry people that the US military has pissed off.

Here we are importing who knows how many people from countries the CIA has destroyed? The trick now is to educate these people that Americans didn't do this to them. our oligarchical structure did. Take your revenge on them.

That will depend on whether Taiwan citizens fight back like Ukies or roll over like Afghans or citizens of HK. You can't help somebody who doesn't want to help themselves.

Why are you convinced the US is "helping" countries or that "victim" countries want to "fight back"?

It's just the devil you've been dealing with versus the devil you don't know. The United States doesn't "help", they exploit - like EVERYBODY does, the question is who is the least worst exploiter?

I don't know why you assume "well, the United States, OF COURSE!"

Ask a Libyan about that today.

Ukraine is going to get ass raped, and maybe throat raped when this is all over, and by "throat raped" I mean their head has been cut off, and the US is fucking their esophagus. Russia isn't going to take over Western Ukraine. In 10 years, we'll be able to compare and contrast, but they WILL take over Eastern Ukraine.

40 years ago, the USSR was a poor, shitty, fucked up country, where people rose to power because of nepotism only, and not because of ability or intelligence - so being taken over by Russia sucked, because the people who ran the country taken over were stupid, incompetent assholes who had no business being in that position of power.

That sound familiar?

We literally have a vice president that is only there because she's not white, and she only climbed to power because she was sleeping with Willie Brown. How much more fucking corrupt, or incompetent, can our government get? She certainly doesn't demonstrate intelligence.

Russia FIRES people who are incompetent. They do it all the time and the US calls this "weakness". If the United States was strong, every fucking Neocon would be in jail right now.

You want to live under USSR rule you're free to move there. Ukrainians apparently don't, so US is helping them to fight the Reds off. They woul've fought the Reds anyway, just like they did 100 years ago during the first Soviet takover of Ukraine and in the 40s-60s during the second one and without any external help whatsoever. On the other hand Afghans didn't mind living under Taliban and lo and behold, no amount of US help could prevent it once they were left to fend for themselves. But they didn't want to live under Soviets in the 80s so they fought them and kicked them out with the US help. So yes, US help is a good thing when it helps to get what people want.

TAIPEI (Taiwan News) — The U.K. Parliament referred to Taiwan as an “independent country” in an official document for the first time, as reported on Wednesday (Aug. 30).

The reference came in a report published by the foreign affairs committee of the House of Commons on Wednesday. “Taiwan is already an independent country, under the name Republic of China,” the report was cited as saying.

“Taiwan possesses all the qualifications for statehood, including a permanent population, a defined territory, government, and the capacity to enter into relations with other states — it is only lacking greater international recognition,” it said.

This is the first time a U.K. Parliament report has made this type of declaration, according to Alicia Kearns, chair of the foreign affairs committee. “We acknowledge China’s position, but we as (the foreign affairs committee) do not accept it,” Kearns told.

“It is imperative the foreign secretary steadfastly and vocally stand by Taiwan and make clear we will uphold Taiwan’s right to self-determination,” Kearns said. “This commitment aligns not only with British values but also serves as a poignant message to autocratic regimes worldwide that sovereignty cannot be attained through violence or coercion,” Kearns continued.

The committee report panned the U.K. government for not being strong enough in supporting Taiwan. It called on officials to begin putting together sanctions with allies to deter China’s military action and economic coercion towards Taiwan.

“The U.K. could pursue closer relations with Taiwan if it were not over-cautious about offending the (Chinese Communist Party),” the committee was cited as saying. “The U.K. should loosen self-imposed restrictions on who can interact with Taiwanese officials. The U.S. and Japan have shown that communication is possible even at the highest level,” the report added.

The foreign affairs committee report also suggested that the U.K. work with Japan and Taiwan on cyber and space defense capabilities.

It also criticized the U.K. government for not making its China strategy public. “Given the publication by Germany of a China strategy, it is evidently possible for the U.K. government to publish a public, unclassified, version which would give the public and private sectors the guidance they are seeking,” it said.
