Going to be banging around on holiday in Southern Norway. Any suggestions on "must see" attractions?

I dated and landed in the friend zone with a Norwegian chick when I was in my early 20's..
Her name was Pilar, pale and fare as the snow. I wined and dined her with all my heart and got nothing but blue balls.
She eventually went back to Oslo and called me everyday telling me about all the things she would do to me if I were there.
I finally told her to fuck off.

Here, I'll give you a general rule of thumb, go to a small town, and be polite as you possibly can be, and experience in a little way the life they have.

Going to to a shitty is standard, NOBODY goes to nowhere. THAT is an interesting experience. You might be regarded with suspicion because NOBODY goes to nowhere on vacation. What the hell are you doing here? What do you want? Are you here on business or something? Family here or something?

There's nothing quite like walking into a bar, or a restaurant, to have the entire room go silent, having the room recognize collectively they've all gone silent, and then having them going back to talking again once they recognize they just did a cliche.

Be polite, sincerely polite. It's very different and that makes it interesting. Everybody in a small town knows everybody. Don't make fun of the place, don't demean anybody no matter what.

See if there is any cool stuff from WW2 leftover to look at.

When I was in Germany, the Swedes told me that the Norwegian language (which was a "re-invention" dating from the late 19th century) has no expletives. Instead, they use Old English swear words.

It was more than 10y, either this or from one of the Nordic countries, salmon import to US was banned. They feed same salmon scrap back. Out of cannibalism, the chemical found in their skin can cause cancer just by consuming very few times a year.

In fact, I knew a childless couple, both university professors living in Norway. They loved to eat farmed Salmon. Unfortunately, both died on cancer.

I was in Bodø, Norway for a few weeks long ago. Very beautiful and the people were friendly.

I understand that particular salmon is the most toxic food in the world:

Norway is leading good behavior by returning stolen precious artifacts during colonial times to Sri Lanka and Indonesia.

Read one recently, about 1600s artifact found in a storage in UK, returned back to India.
