I don't think we should count out DeSantis. A lot were forecasting he would finish in a distant third place. I think he'll do better in New Hampshire and Trump won't fare as well there.

Both Haley and DeSantis were propped up by dragging Democrats out to vote. Or they wouldn't have gotten over 8 or 10 percent each.
They wont perform as well in closed primary states.

If Trump somehow pulls out of the election race,

Or if Trump gets incarcerated.

Trump supporters have had the wait and see position, because they are letting Trump bring America back down for a soft landing. If they lose hope in that, then all bets will be off. A Booby prize will not placate them. It will be abundantly clear, we are being transparently government by the very government our Constitution safeguards against. We're holding out that Trump will/can right this dangerous course.

If Trump were languishing away in Prison since they raided Mara Largo, or since his indictments even, I think America would be experiencing a movement, that makes the Canada Trucker protest and the German Protests look like a traffic snarl.
We believe right will prevail, and Ron DeSantis wont replace that drive.
42   Ceffer   2024 Jan 15, 10:37pm

LOL! If they literally allowed all other candidates to add all their votes up for one guy, they STILL would have lost.

He's probably right. The object is to overwhelm the cheating apparatus. No more 'close calls' plumped out for the fraudsters.

https://x.com/theblaze/status/1747117107974688914?s=20

Uhhhhh.....you came in 3rd, dear. Trump got more votes than you and the runner up together. No one has won the Iowa Caucus by such a margin.
50   RC2006   2024 Jan 16, 5:31am

Media pushing Haley is all you need to know about her. DeSantis ran a catastrophically horrible campaign, and just seemed off in general.

Now the Shitbirds are harping about who's going to be second. What good is second place in a Primary when there's that much air between the winner and the closet loser?

There is an entire Grifter clas that must be fed. The consultants, Frank Lunz pollsters, party organizers, news media hacks (Fox News being desperate). All paid for primarily by CEO type donors who are not used to being told they can't lord over the rest of us.

That's why.

Trump really digging deep into his bench. That swinging fruit Roger Stone? Trump really likes the gay radical dirty trixters like Roy Cohn. Is that why Trump is so supportive of the LGBT mentals, Disney and Bud Light?

Manafort? General Flynn? Aren't these they guys that let the Deep State totally roll the Trump Administration in the first few months?

Since Biden won't be the nominee come November - it doesn't matter.

Democrats, unlike us retarded Republicans know how to play the game and win power and would never nominate a guy that has such high negatives and massive legal baggage as Trump does.

massive legal baggage

You are drinking the MSM koolaid.

These “legal troubles” are BS and everyone except the koolaid drinkers knows it.

Word is that even some in the White House have questioned the wisdom of these prosecutions. Not only do they know it is BS, they know it is only making Trump’s case against the deep state stronger.

If you want to win in November, you need to defeat the deep state. Desantis can’t even come off as sincere in an interview and Haley is part of the deep state as is Christy. Those who oppose the deep state don’t have any choice other than Trump. When will you wake up and smell the swamp?

Fixed it for you!

Don’t hate the voters man!

Did you go to the caucuses in 2016? The deep state party loyalists in 2016 did everything they could to stop Trump from the 2016 Republican nomination and they failed because the people wanted Trump! And he is still the overwhelming favorite despite 8 years of non stop MSM lies and manipulation, a weaponized justice system and a deep state running unchecked. Wise up, the voters have spoken! Opposition to Trump is to deny the will of the voters and to stand with the corrupt media and the globalists who hate you.

No argument there.

Apparently turnout yesterday was down 41% from 2016. Weather certainly played a part, but that is still a dramatic reduction. Alot of the excitement of Trump is gone as he is a known quantity.

Trump won the old Boomer vote in Iowa, but DeSantis won the younger vote.

The Boomer's parting gift of ruining this country will be saddling us with Trump when we could have had a much more Conservative and AFFECTIVE president in DeSantis.

Trump’s victory speech began unexpectedly gracefully, with the President calling for everyone to come together. He started by thanking Melania, Kari Lake, and then … Vivek Ramaswamy. Late yesterday, after clearly placing fourth, Vivek officially ended his campaign by endorsing the former President. Trump praised the inexperienced, underdog candidate, 38, for running an “amazing” race.

It looks more than ever like Vivek is really running for Vice-President.

MSNBC’s deranged talking heads blamed the fascism slowly settling on our country on … you, the Republican voter, who are “pushing Trump to be more and more extreme”...

You people are practically insurrectionists with all your crazy stolen-election conspiracy theories. ...

Both MSNBC and CNN refused to run Trump’s speech to protect viewers’ safety, the comfortable security of unchallenged thought. It could be journalistic incompetence. Quite easily, in fact. Or, it could be they’re worried Trump will, Kreskin-like, mesmerize their viewers. ...

Governor Haley told supporters Iowa’s results “made this a two-person race.”

Um. Nikki placed third. Never mind.
64   Tenpoundbass   2024 Jan 16, 11:55am

Turnout was down! The Boomers voted for Trump! Just to screw us, because they are all going to die.

Funny stuff socal, 🤣 it's going to be a long election season for you. Don't squander it by not appearing on the view to blame the Boomers, LOL.

BTW it's been my experience Boomers are still the biggest TDS demographic. Moreover they are the only demographic to want to fist fight you for even mentioning his name. While most other demographics have moved on. They might throw you a look, but they don't feign being uncomfortable and tell you that they are literally shaking.
I think the Liberal Boomer hipsters miss being relevant with the cool kids, 😆

The weather did not dampen the spirits of Trump Republicans in Iowa one bit! He had more votes in 2024 than he did in 2016.

And in 2020 he got more popular nationwide votes than any Republican in American history .
The BS prosecutions are driving more voters excitement than ever before. I expect that Trump will have so much more energy during the general election run up that Biden will be forced to Actually campaign!

This fact keeps getting dodged. That and the hundreds of thousands of votes in PA, WI, etc. each logged in the succeeding days, just enough to get outside the margin of mandatory recount.

There were 13 candidates at the Iowa Caucus in 2016! Trump is now the incumbent and leader of the GOP. Trump SHOULD be winning over 50% of the vote in the primaries. Trump got his preferred RNC chair elected (Ronna) and has all of the establishment Rinos like Fox News, Lindsey Graham and Marco Rubio all falling in line. He's got the neocon support wrapped up too with Tom Cotton and Steve Scalise.

And why do people keep pointing to the 2020 total numbers when EVERYONE had record turnout for this COVID election with mail in ballots?

The Democrats still found a way (legal or otherwise) to get more votes than Trump in 2020.

I guarantee you that having Trump on the ticket is going to mobilize millions of apathetic Democrats to vote against him and millions of Never Trumpers to stay at home.

If Trump spent the last 3 years building up a significant ground game in the battleground states and been busy hiring lawyers to challenge existing voting laws, I would be more optimistic. But as it stands now, I think we are on track to lose by even a larger margin than we did in 2020 because Biden isn't running and the Democrats will run circles around us.

The Republican Party grew in 2016-2020 when apathetic and unmotivated working class people who never had a candidate to get excited about finally had their long awaited champion in Trump. If he loses in 2024 it will be shananigans from Dems and never trumper deep state globalists. You seem to be sounding more like them every day.
