Add illegals to that. I remember well, you probably do as well, how Democrats in the 90s used to rage against illegals. How Republicans were importing every illegal to work for $2/hour. And Republicans back then were all for illegals. I don’t grasp how it flipped. I only speculate that Democrats learned that giving illegaks benefits and votes turns illegals into D voters, and that suddenly frightened Rs who imported illegals in the first place. Oh shit moment, cheap labor suddenly came with a cost. Whole thing is nuts.
