My mother has been sick (bed ridden) since my birth and turns out my wife has bpd now. As an Asian, we are very closely knit to family so I kind of always felt the burden of others health. I’m in my early 30s. I’m pretty active into sports and outdoorsy, have a stable job.

I do love her when she’s happy but the sad or bad scenes are like 80% of time now. I feel God cheated me of my happiness. Why should I not cheat my wife and find comfort in other women to find some temporary solace for myself and come out of this frustration, if that helps? Justifications? Any?

PS: I feel leaving my wife to come out clean at this stage will have worst impact on her and so I am not pursuing that path immediately due to humanitarian grounds. Maybe a short fling outside will help me stay positive and help her with my presence? Help!

I believe it is borderline personality disorder.

Could be and that's some psycho shiite there too.

I can't find it but there's an article written by a psychologist that has a title along the lines of "Is she just a psycho bitch?" And explains borderline personality disorder in women.

Wish I could find it. I've dealt with that disorder in a man years ago. My cousin has as well. It's a nightmare.

Pretty much all womynz have some form of bpd so they can be excused when they shit all over their men and society. Bring back a solid patriarchy and bpd disappears

I remember there was a family down the street at my previous place. As a neighbor, me and wife used to greet and talk whenever passing by. Found a strange behavior over a period that the woman had a range of emotions including very normal to “do I know you”! kind of weird expression. Confirmed with wife who had similar experience with her. This was puzzling and took some time to figure out that it was some kind of bipolar!
Over the period, I observed, like others mentioned above, quite a few females exhibit similar behavior symptoms. At least unable to notice this disorder in men around.
Perhaps it’s a survival tactic mechanism!

The primary diagnostic criteria for differentiating BPD (Borderline Personality Disorder; so named because it was initially observed the patient was on the border of being psychotic) vs. Bipolar Personality Disorder is duration between mood state switches: Bipolar usually have long "maniac" and "depressive" states that each lasting multiple days, whereas Borderline Personality Disorder can switch from being happy to angry within hours if not minutes. The underlying mechanism may well be entirely different between the two: BPD (Borderline) is usually due to the person having extremely high sensitivity to environmental stimulus (not internal "high" or "low" state), and lacks the "normal" emotional maturity to control one's own knee-jerk / emotional reactions.

In my personal experience, BPD (Borderline) and Borderline traits are extremely common among young women. BPD (and other Cluster-B personality disorders such as Narcissistic Personality Disorder (NPD, now usually recognized as an internal coping mechanism developed by BPD sufferers as they age) and Psychopathy (a further stage of development from NPD)) are usually not diagnosed for children under 18yo, as children are presumed to be sensitive and less capable of controlling their own emotions. Among adult men, I have observed that men who have substance dependency tend to have a high rate of Cluster-B personality disorders (not a clinical psychiatrist but speaking as a landlord and employer who has dealt with hundreds if not thousands of tenants and applicants). That's why I think women's high rate of BPD may have something to do with their internal hormonal environment. Of course, societal coddling (just like coddling of drug and alcohol abuse in recent year) may increase the overall frequency/rate of outbursts/manifestations.

I did see a show about a guy who had it too... It's too common to be real in so many women for me to believe it all of the time though.

My opinion is BPD-ish traits exist in most women. When males have the normative solipsistic/BPD traits found in a typical woman, he'd be readily and easily diagnosed with it. Only the more extreme cases are diagnosed in women. I'd say at least half of women have "BPD Lite" and almost all are solipsistic to a much larger degree than men.

Another example is S.I.G.N. language. Once you see it, it's everywhere at all times except in the most formal interactions/situations.

What these statistics mainly say is that (many) womyn are very similar to children, they can be happy one moment and have an extreme tantrum of dissatisfaction about a totally random and meaningless "issue" the next. We used to put children (and occasionally womyn) in place via corporal punishment back then, for their own good, so they don't get killed by the next stranger over misbehavior outside of their parents protective nest. And so they don't get run over by a car because they don't consider their parent yelling at them as anything worth listen to. Womynz and "feminist" movements have dismantled all these safeguards for themselves and their children and that's why you see children and adults unfit for society, and unfit to recognize any danger (e.g. getting killed by fentanyl) and boozed up womynz being raped by migrants from rough cultures at staggering proportions, while claiming misgendering, mansplaining and the wage gap are real issues. I mean just let that naked chick with a dick in the shower stare at your equally naked teenage daughter, will ya! It's totally safe and love is love you bigot!

@Bluesky - I found it. Finally.

https://shrink4men.com/2009/01/12/crazy-bitch-quiz/

That's "Is She a Crazy Bitch?" - a quiz.

Give leeway to your woman, meaning, if she leans in a direction, but isn't definitely there, then give her a pass. I knew people with borderline personality disorder. Being around them is maddening for me.

It was driving me crazy I couldn't find that article.

Tough test - I think my wife is borderline (I can check one box out of two).

I agree with the posters that hormones can fuck up a woman's head. If she's lucky, a woman has enough self-awareness that she can realize that she's "under the influence," as it were. It's been nearly 25 years, and my wife still won't admit it until the red tide gives irrefutable proof. I don't make it easy on her either - "Oh, you're probably PMSing, that's why you're being such a cunt."

If men acted this way they'd be jailed. Pussy pass to the rescue.

I doubt anything on TV properly explained the disorder.

I didn't say TV but I didn't watch it more than a few minutes. Watching a guy like that is disgusto.

I view it as a condition, these people need help, but they don't realize it.

In my opinion, most people need help. I feel so badly for Philo Farnsworth, he made the television expecting it to be used as an educational device. Poor man had a mental breakdown. Very brilliant man. He recovered and made the Fusor. It's a fusion machine, but the amount of energy it produces is minimal compared to the energy it takes to make it operate. He hoped it would be further developed to be usable as an energy generator.

I worked on the early Internet, expecting it to be an educational device, I'm not anywhere near as brilliant, nor was I a significant part of it, but all I see is propaganda and bullshit elevated artificially. I remember when Wikileaks disclosures became viral. Goddamned assholes that control our society don't realize it's not just better for us, but for them, to be properly informed.
