On Sunday, the Libertarian Party chose 38-year-old Chase Oliver as its 2024 presidential nominee.

An openly gay former Democrat who once supported Barack Obama, Oliver used his victory speech to rail against the U.S. “war machine” and demand an end to the “genocide in Gaza,” according to the Washington Examiner.

The Libertarian Party was never a party at all. It was just Ron Paul running as an independent against Obama, and his son shit on by calling him a radical isolationist. As you can all plainly see with the list of candidates and the ultimate nominee, and the paltry number of votes for their national convention. There is no "There" there.

So basically there never was a Libertarian party, just the folks that were confused about the difference between Liberalism and Conservatism.

There will never be a true 3rd party. I don't know what anyone expects from the Libertarian or Green party types. Even RFK was milquetoast and cannot talk. I know he was Dem, but he had no chance in any party. He caught the attention of the anti-covid crowd but that was basically it.

The only good thing to come out of all of this is the fact the far left is losing. Trump wins unless there's blatantly obvious cheating which would cause other issues. Dems are playing a long game with the border but it back fired when states sent them to NYC and Chicago. The goal was to shift House rep seats and gerrymander to get more blue house seats. So Texas and FL sent them to blue cities/districts so it wouldn't move the needle as much.

The next census will be a biggie. November is the last chance for Dems to effect that basically, as we know Trump is going to be tough on the border. 2028-2030 will be too short of a time to do anything meaningful. So Biden has opened the faucet on the border to full blast. Dems have no one in the bullpen seemingly and many are switching teams. I don't think many people understand the border issue. It's mostly about getting house reps and control of the house since they don't have SCOTUS and are likely to lose POTUS this year.

If the Dems want to win they need to get off the gay train. They were the party that didn't want wars. They now let in a bunch of illegals. They've gone full retard at this point.

Even some birthday parties have more number of guests than those voters of the whole party! Something else is going on!

Actually, if the population of the blue cities/districts increases enough through illegals. then reapportionment would grant those blue areas more Representatives at the expense of the red areas.

That may backfire over time, as once the illegals get citizenship, the new citizens may see the Republican policies as more beneficial - better for the economy and keeping further illegals from coming in and competing.

You're right to an extent. The house plays a role for sure. But I failed to mention the electoral college. If Texas were to turn blue, Trump can't win. AND the dems would pick up house seats. So shipping these people to already blue areas is the best bet on multiple levels, even if rural red areas lose reps.

And you're right. Specifically Mexicans tend to lean right in current times. They're also family oriented, so the whole abortion nonsense is usually a no go for them, so dems can't capitalize on that. And most dislike gays. I guess my point is dems/Biden didn't fully think this strategy out. I think they thought they could just take Texas and AZ by importing people. The governors shipped them out to already blue states. They didn't think states would dump them to other states.

Mexicans will vote mostly left because that is the prominent party for illegals. Economy, education, and everything else takes a back seat to offers of Amnesty and free shit. If you doubt this look at CA, 1st--2nd gen are some of the wokest commies around.

I wish everyone would finally get it. There are only two positions in politics. All of the other positions are only distractions to make sure the ruling class and establishment wins, on positions that benefits them the most. 5 or more parties is exactly how Marxism and Socialism has eroded away the entirety of Europe's sovereignty and has capitulated to the Commies, Muslims and National pride is a crime, punishable with more hostile malicious prejudice more so than a Leftist that would assault the public with knives, guns or bombs.

If America had 5 parties, all four other parties would all be backed by the same SOROS and Establishment funds to undermine Trump. Those four parties would all be representing in the supreme court how rigging the elections is the only way to ensure a monster like Trump isn't elected. The Obama Judge would agree, after all there are 4 discerning voices speaking out against how uncomfortable Trump makes them. Therefore a Trump would be a National threat. You know, just like all of the European nations do to their conservative Nationalist candidates. The Democrats are trying like hell to do that here, but with only two parties, there's no way to sell it without exposing it for what it is. Election interference and trying to hamstring the only and sole opposition to them.

You're either Right or Left of an issue, and throughout your life, it will be necessary to be one and then the other, at differing times. Nobody is more dangerous than someone that pins a D or an R next to their name no matter what. It is why Democrats today are so smug and content to be Nazi Gestapos and cheering on Marxists and Terrorists because the Democrat apparatchik has hijacked it.

What is more important than voting is participating in one of the party(Democrat or Republican) on a local level, to affect the state and national level, and have some say in who is actually candidates on those tickets. The Marxists realized that, and that no one is paying attention to the party on the Democrat side, so they hijacked it. And are using the system against the politically lazy Americans.

If there were more parties, even those organizations would be backed and staffed more by Soros, Koch, Gates, WEF and other unsavory bad actors. If we can't get off our asses to be a part of just one of the two parties. What makes anyone so sure, that more parties wouldn't just be a companion piece to the Democrat party or the establishment that is wielding its power?

It would just be more of the same, and more of a hopeless same than we have now. At least there's a fight with just two parties. We would be so fucked and America would be done forever if we ever get more than two official parties.
