Doubt it, they didn’t have manpower nor desire to do so. No guarantees they’d win without our help. That war as truly team effort.

They COULD do that, but if they did, WHO would buy it? Would it not probably be purchased at a discount as well? How much of a discount/loss are those countries willing to take/give up?

The difference is the war would have ended in late 46 instead of mid 45 with the Soviets in Paris. And a huge chunk of the Partisans in Europe were Communists from Greece to France.

75-80% of Wehrmacht casualties were in the East. It would have only delayed the inevitable, they still needed men in Yugoslavia, Greece, etc. to keep control.

Stalin took a multimonth diversion to the Balkans to ensure Communist governments there.

The big help we gave the Soviets was the Trucks and Jeeps, logistics.
