the dems are not a unified edifice and many view one another as the most dangerous foes. why give another faction a shot as starting to grab the levers of power and lawfare to use against you and run party purges? elect a one term elephant instead and use the time to consolidate your power around a new spokesmoppet. it’s a sound play. ...

This is Obama's Third Term.

Obama does not want his Total Control of the WH shared with any other grouping of Democrats or the Left.

There's a reason the Cuomos got whacked out of New York. They were an institution, a powerbroker family. The only reason Gov. Cuomo was removed was due to the Obama Wing of the Radical Left.

Chicago does it best. Study it. Then you'll know what the left is and why they win. History of Chicago and another poli sci class was in my college curriculum. Study that and you'll know the left. They won’t be allowed to do so. The reasons will be technical and politically arcane, but the real reason is that their bosses the oligarchs understand that Americans are on the brink of losing all respect for government authority. And that would be a disaster for them! The government is their best tool for controlling the people!
So they’ll let Trump win this time as a “change agent,” knowing they have him at least partially under control this time.

They live in such a bubble, they had no idea that Biden was this incapacitated.

Sensible people were pointing out 6 months ago that there should have been a full-scale Democratic Party primary with people actually encouraged to join the race. I think if the DNC had a mind to it, they could have seen to it that some younger and better Dem would win the primary. Then it would have been an easy victory against Trump.

Unfortunately, if the 25th amendment is invoked now, there won't be enough time to get a primary off the ground. Could have 25th'ed him late last year.

Nah, we need him to hang in until November, just to keep other contenders out - except for RFK. I think an RFK Trump match would be a win-win for America. Either one would be acceptable.
