@Patrick

You aware of this?

https://www.city-journal.org/article/in-compliance-out-of-business

If AB 1757 goes into effect in 2025, small businesses suddenly will face a choice of expensively re-designing their sites by contracting with compliance experts or risking lawsuits that bankrupt them. Facing thousands of dollars in spending for a new website or the risk of a lawsuit running into the tens or hundreds of thousands, many businesses will simply go offline. Others will close entirely—and thus become inaccessible to everyone.

Another Kommie anti free speech skeet shot for the Constitutional rifles.

Maybe as with many of these things that are patently un-Constitutional, they only want it to have legs long enough for the current election season.

Another one of these asshole bills likely led and rooted for by chief assholes state senators Evan Low and Richard Pan. Fucking evil SOB’s. Low because he’s a pillow bitter and was made to feel like crap as a kid after being sexually abused by a man and Pan because he’s a communist doofus with nary an operating brain cell.

Doesn’t really matter though. First, just host the website in another state or country. Numerous smaller sites got around FOSTA by hosting in small countries that give the US the middle finger when it comes to matters like this. And the law is blatantly unconstitutional as well. So meh.

I am guessing while the VC whoring for new start-ups will still occur here, the start-ups themselves will be located out of state. And their workers.

Guess what will happen to Bay Area and LA Area R/E prices when that kicks into gear?

This is how the Fall of Detroit started. Yes, back in the 50s Detroit WAS the SV of that time. Highest per capita income in America. Expensive homes. All of it.

Then the Detroit and MI state government went Libtard. Then Full Metal Libtard by implementing golden goose killing equivalent shit like this.

This site is not actually a business. It doesn't make any money.

X and SpaceX is already leaving SFBA. There is no advantage; the last reason to stay - abundant nearby venture cap offices looking to fund start ups - is no longer a thing.

That's probably good. This will be enforced by ambulance chasers mostly.
