Lots of these had to be retrieved from roofs.

Same for these:

Those were great for sticking in door hinges. Loud pop when someone closed the door.

Or to walk fearless through neighborhoods with loose dogs.

I used to flick them from the 2nd floor of the mall down to the 1st. I had security running in circles down there trying to figure out where they were coming from.

"0ne, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight!

Schlemiel! Schlimazel! Hasenpfeffer Incorporated!"

(As a kid I growing up in California could never understand that. Just like the Philly brownstones of Seseme Streat was alien, too.)

But they can tell if you didn't work there and what you made. Tax records.

How would they have access to your tax records?

They wouldn't, so you're right. No sane person keeps tax records past 7 years unless you got digital copies which I would purge from my computer anyway. I don't like having that data around. Plus it would be useless.

But basically yes you could lie on an application and there's no way they could contact to verify you even worked there or the position. I'm sure people do it all the time. Everything is fake at this point in my world. I bet a lot Enron employees/managers did this to get a new job, just not the accountants.

Who the fuck said it would come from yourself?

I didn't.

I loved those things. Used to unroll them and then roll several together from the crystals to make bigger ones.

Mercury fulminate iirc. Maybe I'm brain damaged from that.

My mother was a classmate of Marlin Perkins' daughter at the U. Chicago "Lab School", a high school associated with the university.

Probably not as big as they once were.

Just because the combined roll looked like a joint did not mean you should have smoked it.

True, but compare prices. Today's tickets are like bus fare compared to the 1960s.

I remember how careful one had to be while sliding that wing through the fuselage slot during assembly. Also, setting the wing forward made it loop, setting it to the back of the slot made for longer flights.

Nor this.

How many licks does it take to get to the center of a tootsie roll tootsie pop? One, two, crunch, three!

I'm paraphrasing. I was maybe 3-4 years old when I saw that.

I think he almost failed and went broke trying to market them initially.

Except 1982 in the title has to be wrong. Maybe 1972. 82 is def wrong.

Me either, but my guess is a ref to TopGun.

He went BK multiple times I believe. Once for sure. It happens but his whole Rich Dad Poor Dad is a fiction book. Didn't happen. I've read it. It's all bull shit. I was one, but people are suckers.
