Well if you look at pictures of the JPL/NASA groups, you will see fifty to a hundred Asians and Caucasians for every sporadic black, and you don't even know what the black person is doing, maybe just on the switchboard. If anything, it is Asian supremacist rather than white supremacist, but Asians are viewed as being more conformist, controllable and non-disruptive.
That shows you the true complexion of DEI when the pedal hits the metal on cooperative engineering and science endeavors.
When it's mission critical, you use the people who can do the job. When it is mission subversive, then you enforce DEI.
