I also saw it maybe two years ago. One amazing thing is the African guy who speaks Chinese. No one explains how he learned that.

Did Pacific Palisades and Malibu DEW attacks wake anybody up? I haven't heard much. It is more like the California nightmare of permits and petit petty bureaucracies are torturing them while the ashes lie fallow. "Why would they do this to us? We were Kang Elites of the coast and Hollywood?"

I tend to think the Pali/ Malibu thing was either an error of targeting or a re-targeting by some counter agency. The original plan was to burn out 60 to 70 percent of Central LA, not the upper scale class in Pasadena or Pali.

I presume CA is much like IL. They probably have a prevailing wage and/or unions. Basic jobs that used to cost $20/employee are up to $40-50/employee. Then overtime.

The guys that work on my wife's crews can make about $130/hr during the late season to get jobs done overtime pay.

Also unions are just mafia. They shook down her work just like you'd see in the Soprano's. They're too big now, but when smaller they'd have to hire flaggers (stop/slow paddles) from the union at something like $60/hr. It was a do nothing job. They'd have to get a break every 2 hours. It was do nothing mafia jobs. They also would litter like ass holes they are. Just bring a damn grocery bag and toss it at the end of the day.

Wouldn't work in CA (no plastic bags - found out the hard way), but either way, littering pisses me off.
