I’d agree with the above, most of it, but something not mentioned yet is the stranglehold BlackRock et al have over policy. They, with their cozy, likely illegal relationship with the Fed, can bankroll DEI companies and cut off those who flout it. BlackRock is settling the Ukraine “debt” (to us) by taking over their farmland and mineral resources. These entities (we can include Vanguard, Blackstone Group, and others) are buying and renting out nearly 1/3rd of American housing.

For the last issue, housing, we should reinstate Glass-Steagall, and remove investment banks from the domestic housing market. Only then would pricing fall in line with salaries.

I’d liquidate BlackRock to pay off our national debt. They were a small investment group before the bailouts of 2008-9, when they were put in charge of the Fannie Mae/FreddieMac/Maiden Lane housing investments. From there, the Fed’s quantitative easing policies (which expanded the national debt 10-fold), enabled BlackRock to buy their massive portfolio. They’re now a “fourth branch of government,” as DC-ites winkingly state. It’s absolutely anti-democratic, enforcing DEI and wars for profit, while simultaneously bankrupting our country.

We were far better off before Larry Fink was an unelected dictocrat.

I have one more little request: repeal the Patriot Act. We have some Three-letter agencies that could go back to doing what they were created to do (IMHO):

1. FBI: deter, detect and dismantle DOMESTIC threats.
2. CIA: deter, detect and dismantle FOREIGN threats.

Both agencies have become so corrupt and malign that it's hard to imagine how they would be set back on course. The Patriot ACT was supposed to be temporary. It must go, along with all of its hellspawn black budget agencies that have no visibility or oversight. We'd save a shedload of money, too.

True, but there will be some non-financial issues. Countries may refuse to take back their citizens. Lawsuits will be filed and must be fought. There is also the "familiarity" issue, where people will fight to keep the illegals they have befriended from being deported.

The deportation may be more along the lines of first cutting of all aid and incentives to illegals (including driver's licenses), then immediately deporting all illegals arrested for a crime, then fining anyone who hires or rents to illegals, then offering free fights and a small stipend to any who voluntarily deport.

Make it a felony to employ, house, or do business with illegals. Nullify all loans made to illegals. Create a permanent ban of citizenship for anyone entering or born to illegally or that enter under false pretense.
