The gunman who shot United Health CEO Brian Thompson is apparently accustomed to shooting people. In the video footage, he seems preternaturally calm, collected, and deliberate. Note especially how he walks towards the man he has just shot in the back to fire a few final shots at closer range. He has a strangely unhurried and casual gait, and he never looks back to see if anyone might be closing in from behind.

He strikes me as extremely confident that no one is around to intervene and that he will have no problem escaping.

Video footage released of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson being executed by a masked gunman.

Video footage shows a man in the grey backpack pulling out a pistol with a silencer on it before opening fire.

The man was seen firing multiple shots at Thompson who stumbled to the ground.

According to The New York Post, the weapon jammed at one point, prompting the gunman to fix it so he could keep firing.

He then fled down an alley and was last seen in Central Park.

I've NEVER been asked for an ID at a hotel domestically.

I insert an ID into the kiosk to get my hotel key (card) to check in and out of various hotels

Do you check in on the spot? As in not book before? Only did that once in Alabama and no ID required even then. I could see casino hotels because of the gambling, which I think is true. There's no other need domestically though. Although I guess my wife books since she travels more for work and gets points. They won't let me check in unless she's there. Although I could identify as a woman in todays world.

I'm usually doing the mans work getting the baggage cart and loading it to the room. So maybe I'm wrong. I've stayed the night in Spokane at hotels solo at least 3 times though before Southwest got gates at the airport in Bozeman and never have been asked. Just have the paper print out. Usually on solo trips I'm staying at buddies houses.

All they ever want is a working CC when I check in. I have 15 roughly with no balance except one that gets paid off monthly. That's why I bring paper confirmation since we book through 3rd parties and not direct 90% of the time besides Hilton brands.

Seems like alot of dumb and misguided hatred on "insurance" companies by some on the Right in the rage-fest this week.

As if the health insurance industry's whopping 5% profit margin is the reason why US healthcare is so expensive and inaccessible to some? Anyone think the government could manage all payments, coverages, negotiations (and yes - rationing) between healthcare providers and recipients more efficiently and equitably than private insurance does at $0.05 on the dollar?

The major costs of our healthcare is the cost of doctors, nurses, hospitals, facilities, drugs and hospital administrators navigating through all the regulatory hoops government has thrown at this heavily regulated industry.

Are Leftists going to start gunning down high paid doctors, nurses and drug CEO's next?

Radar is a Left LGBTQ mag, so "We're taking credit, he's our guy. The hero is from our group." struck me. But yeah, I see how it could be slander.

Homos love projecting their lifestyles on fantasy objects, even non-homos.

I'm beginning to think this whole assassination was another head fake. The executive was likely exfiltrated. He may be under some kind of protection or projected alias or he may be killed covertly later. He is another man who knows too much. The company might be an intriguing intersection of politicians and organized crime.

A Florida woman has been arrested for allegedly threatening an insurance firm that denied her medical claim, using words from the scene of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson’ fatal shooting. The suspect, 42-year-old Briana Boston, has been charged with threats to conduct a mass shooting or an act of terrorism, ABC News reported Friday, citing an arrest affidavit.

The incident reportedly occurred on Tuesday, when Boston was speaking by phone with a representative from the Blue Cross Blue Shield insurance company, seeking to challenge the firm’s denial of her medical claim. When the representative reiterated that the claim had been denied, Boston allegedly became aggressive, and said “Delay, deny, depose. You people are next.”

The three-word slogan has been making headlines this month, since being found written on bullet shell casings left at the scene of Brian Thompson’s death in New York. The words appear to be a reference to the “delay, deny, defend” strategy some insurance companies have been accused of using when dealing with expensive medical claims – meaning delaying a decision, denying the claim and defending themselves against disputes.

According to police, when questioned, Boston admitted to using the words, but said she did so because “it is what is in the news right now.” She also said insurance companies “are evil” and “deserve karma,” but claimed that she owned no guns and did not plan to carry out her threat. The woman has been charged with a second-degree felony and is currently awaiting trial at a Polk County jail, facing up to 15 years in prison if convicted.

Doesn't sound like she actually made any credible threat.

In fact, this sounds like a threat by the CEOs to violate the First Amendment and imprison anyone who questions their right to eternal despotic rule by impenetrable phone-tree bureaucracy.

Well, Democrats are clearly the party of violence, so that makes sense.

Demand for bulletproof homes surging in US – Bloomberg

The ultra-rich have boosted spending on private security, especially after the assassination of UnitedHealthcare’s CEO

US billionaires have ramped up personal and residential security over the past few years, installing bulletproof fittings and panic rooms, Bloomberg has reported.

Private security firms had been in high demand even before the murder of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson earlier this month, the outlet said on Monday, but the killing has sparked a new wave of spending on security. ...

The sense of insecurity increased after the assassination of the UnitedHealthcare boss, who was gunned down outside a Hilton hotel in central Manhattan a week ago. Some online users on social media reacted positively to Thompson’s killing, while ‘wanted’ posters appeared across New York encouraging targeting other executives.

Why 2nd degree and not 1st?

Why the terrorism charge?

Something is not right here.

What was his most obvious motive? Personal revenge? He didn't know the guy and wasn't even fucking UHC customer, afaik. What else? Once you answer this question and look up a certain definition it becomes perfectly clear that unless the perp is insane this is the only logical charge.

1st degree is premeditated.

You telling me this wasn't premeditated?

'Delay', 'Deny' and 'Depose' etched on the bullet casings by Divine Intervention?

Next to DC courts, New York is the most egregious Potemkin Kangaroo Court movie set for the Intels and Deep State, attempting to coin through their selective justice trials and depraved judges the templates for removing the Constitution and abusing lawfare taxation.

Who knows. Maybe this 'assassination' or 'fake assassination' was set up specifically for this show trial purpose to start the persecution of anything they don't like under the rubric of terrorism.

No, I'm talking about motive. What was he trying to achieve and why?

I dunno, he could've been trying to make a citizen's arrest and the perp resisted arrest. -- Let a jury decide.

41% of people say they are ok with the killing.

Probably more people are ok with it. Americans don't like unethical ways of making money.

It's just money. Killing a man with kids is awful. Unless you assaulted or molested by kid, I'll never kill anyone. Money can be made again. More harm would be done just not paying the co-pay and deductible and taking the credit ding. The profit goes down and he loses his job if more people did that. It's not government. Can't garnish wages or lien your home.

The problem is most Americans want their toys and empty status so they buy things on credit. So they don't want medical bills to go into collections. Always get yourself into a situation that your credit eventually doesn't matter. 6-8 months away from that where I could give no shits about my credit. If I'm making $400k, what do I need credit for? I could literally go ape shit and drop $100k on my 15 cards and just not pay them. You don't have to file BK.

Federal government (IRS) and local government, property taxes generally are the only ones with authority to collect from you or lien. Your debt is technically paid when it goes into collections. Dealing with this on medical bills currently from the post office work. I'm not paying it and haven't and can still go to the doc. I don't answer my phone unless I know the number. NEVER accept certified mail or something that requires a signature that comes out of nowhere or you didn't order.

Make yourself a pseudo name as well that you can remember on demand. "Are you John Doe" (your actual name) you just say no I'm Brad Smith. I don't have an ID. I'm disabled and don't have to drive so don't have an ID.

And yes this is unethical, but so is killing another human if not worse. Just don't pay them if you want to fight them. Just know what you have to do.
