It's called value added prostitution. Public shaming and accusations after the fact with lawyers in tow are bountiful harvests of blackmail. It's the casting couch that keeps on giving.

However, these days, the accusations without basis in fact are nearly as productive. They just usually require a sponsoring entity.

I think that if a woman doesn't lodge a rape report within a reasonable timeframe. Then they can't retro fit a rape charge out of a sexual encounter at a later date in the future. There's only a self serving or political reason to do so otherwise.

We really need both a criminal and Civil statute of limitations. Like 7 years.

Like that dude from that 70s Show, convicted because two bimbos claimed that 15 years ago he groped them in a hot tub or someshit. No physical evidence, and plenty of testimony on his behalf, didn't matter, convicted.

In reality, I think it's because he left Scientology or some shit.
