I've heard about this a few times now. Supposedly Nikola Tesla showed that it's possible to extract electricity from the atmosphere.

Philadelphia Public Ledger November 2, 1933 Tesla ‘Harnesses’ Free Cosmic Energy

Inventor announces discovery to displace fuel in driving machinery. Calls Sun main source. A principle by which power for driving machinery of the world may be developed from the cosmic energy which operates the universe, has been discovered by Nikola Tesla, noted physicist and inventor of scientific devices, he announced today. This principle, which taps a source of power described as “everywhere present in unlimited quantities” and which may be transmitted by wire or wireless from central plants to any part of the globe, will eliminate the need of coal, oil, gas or any other of the common fuels, he said. Dr. Tesla in a statement today at his hotel indicated the time was not far distant when the principle would be ready for practical commercial development. Asked whether the sudden introduction of his principle would upset the present economic system, Dr. Tesla replied, “It is badly upset already.” He added that now as never before was the time ripe for the development of new resources. While in its present form, the theory calls for the development of energy in central plants requiring vast machinery. Dr. Tesla said he might be able to work out a plan for its use by individuals. The central source of cosmic energy for the earth is the Sun, Dr. Tesla said, but “night will not interrupt the flow of new power supply.”

Nikola Tesla Portrait circa 1890Clearly Tesla is not talking about an atomic reactor. He is directly converting ionized particles generated by radiant matter. It is not nuclear energy as we know it today. Tesla Radiant Energy is directly converted to electrical power! Tesla believed that the Sun generates highly charged particles and that radiant matter is a re-transmitter of energy, it is this transfer of energy that could be used for practical purposes.

Sounds like Einstein's photo electric effect which is how a solar panel generates electricity, exempt he calls photons "highly charged particles."

Tesla was already going severely loopy in the late 1910s. He was totally broke and a complete nutter living in a shitty hotel in the 1930s.

He was brilliant but paid the price with severe mental maladies.

And what is being described in the article isn't ZPE.

Dude was good looking. It's a shame that he couldn't be saved by the P_ssy. I know it's made me at least 20 I.Q. points dumber - thus saving me from madness.

Basic observation: The earth and atmosphere are a huge, constantly regenerating voltic battery with energy available and virtually unlimited.

Oil is energy heroin, a substance drug to create scarcities, control and wars. That is basically why free energy is so vigorously suppressed, because it destroys the dependancy (and it's really cheap).

Because you met him? Or you just believe what you read from 100 years ago by people that probably didn't even meet him? You're the type that's gonna get screwed by AI.

That's how you operate. Whatever you imagine up is somehow 'real'. The socal2 way.

I am going by historical facts. You should try it some time.

Yes, lightning exists. Now build a way to harness it.

C'mon man, you know better. Lightning is produced in the atmosphere by clouds creating massive charge differentials.

Getting "free" power in space was demonstrated by the Space Shuttle:

But, because TANSTAAFL, your orbit decays as you produce drag in the magnetosphere.

Far future, we'll get unlimited power by tapping into alternate universes and sucking them dry of energy. Will this be before or after Dyson spheres?

They're lies. Gulf of Tonkin? That was what 60 years ago? Keep getting fooled. I'll take my anecdotal evidence everyday instead of listening to liars that didn't see it. Game of telephone. The story is trash after the first person.

No one has to believe my deer story running into the side of my car. It happened. Not made up. Believe it or don't. I mostly give no fucks because I know what happened. I'm not here to appease people I've never met. Just exchanging stories and ideas.

Nikola Tesla was perhaps the smartest human being that ever lived.

So we had a ship sunk and killed 58k US citizens? Yet you believe that Tesla was some sort of genius? You need to wake up a little bit. All history has been revised. Tesla wasn't some super human. Shit, Lebron James claims he the best to play basketball. No different from 5 years ago or 100 years ago with Tesla. Most everything is bull shit.

History is simply made up. Sure Tesla was bright. Sure Lebron James can play good basketball. But shit is made up about people all the time that's not true. Sorry you're the fish that took the bait.

WTF?

That has nothing to do with the context of this thread.

Belief has nothing to do with it. Facts do.

But you can't seem to keep that straight.

WookieMan says

Tesla wasn't some super human.

Perfect example. We were taking about his genius, not whether he was super human.

Except for you. Who da fuck knows what separate convo you had going on in your head. Or with whom.

You schizo? That would explain a lot.WookieMan says

All history has been revised

Prove it

I literally just brought up a point that you were lied to. Are you joking at this point? WMD's in Iraq? Did you not read 1984 or something? We currently live it. Everything you're told has been changed or exaggerated. I live in the reality that I see. It's done me well. But hey, you must have met Tesla and know his genius... nope. You go off telephone history stories that turn into bullshit by the time they get to you.

I was a history major. I had to cite multiple sources. Most sources about the same event were completely different. My point being you trust stuff but didn't see it. Don't seek sources and realize half of them are made up to sell ads even during WWI and earlier. Televised and print media is all lies.

Which has nothing to do with this thread or what is KNOWN about Tesla.
