Long Overdue, IMHO

Would like to see a mandatory cash law, requiring all Federal Agencies to take cash.

All US currency should be silver metal coins labeled by weight alone, not "dollars".

The basic unit would be the pound, which would literally be a pound of 0.9999 pure silver.

Everything else should be marked "ONLY A DEBT, MAY DEFAULT AND BECOME WORTHLESS AT ANY MOMENT"

$1.99 has a nice ring to it than $2.25 when grocery shopping.

Who takes the loss during cash transactions? Maybe we’ll get prices to the nickel from now on? $1.99 will become $1.95 or $2.00 from now on.

probably not, because they have to factor in taxes. now change will be rounded somehow.

We have a precedent in gas prices, where the "mil" is always rounded up. Like "$2.999 per gallon" will round up to $3.

I’d guess business like $1.95 with slightly smaller sizes to flash 1. not 2. to continue their working price model for average consumer.

A penny burned is two or three pennies earned.

Nickel loafers. What are we going to call all those girls named "Penny" now? "Two Bit"?
