Now we know why Dean Cain isn't a Democrat....

On Antarctica, there's a waterfall called Blood Falls, flowing from the Taylor glacier.

The groundwater, trapped for over 1.5 million years, contains so much iron that it oxidizes upon contact with the air, creating a deep red color.

New word I learned on X today.

wigger

Made me laugh. I had to appreciate the originality & contextual use.

An old word that was coined by my Generation GenX. It was term we t-shirt and Levi wearing stoners would call White guys with mullets and purple track suits, and a sequin studded ball caps, break dancing, and listening to "Base Music" first official term of the hip hop music. We would laugh like hell as they drove by in their rusted out 72 Impalla and rust by the cup would fall from under their car with every thump of their sub woofers in the trunk. The rattling was louder than the music when their windows were up. (Boom!)thddddddddddd (splat more rust falls down) (Boom!)thddddddddddd (splat more rust falls down) (Boom!)thddddddddddd (splat more rust falls down) (Boom!)thddddddddddd (splat more rust falls down)

Yeah fun times!

I don't know how accurate those depictions are. Florida's federal land is a hell of a lot more than that infograph is showing.
The everglades alone is two times that size.

Nanny's gave hand jobs to kids and it was considered normal. Pre-1901 I think though.

Who knows. He posts inaccurate info. The map came from somewhere, post a link to the data so people can verify. IL does seems accurate, but FL does seem small.

This is why you can't trust the internet. Unless for humor, it's why any screen shot or meme is useless shit. Get me to the data.

Edit: Just noticed the date..... 20 years ago. 2004. Lol.

My guess:

It's a percentage datum translated into 'size'. And what you see as government controlled land in Florida may be only that - controlled, not outright owned. Also, not all government owned land is federal. Lots could be state.

And federal land holdings don't change much over time. Incrementally on an irregular basis yes, but not exponentially.

Last: GSA probably only has some of the records for this data set.

See eveyone? He even contradicts his own bullshit.

Wookie claims the image is useless shit unless someone provides his lazy ass with 'a link'...and then immediately references part of it as authority data to bitch about.

Wookie's Schrödinger's Evidence Standard: Whichever Wookie can claim to demand that preserves his fantasy 'real estate expertise' or shuts down all challenges to said bullshit, even when both options contradicts the other.

I'm just curious, why does anyone have to defend, or validate some useless stat he found on the internet somewhere.
Do you trust every stat you come across? I sure as hell don't. At best they should be posted for commentary and critique, with or without the data.
Which data is only information that a biased person stored somewhere. Just look at every AI platform for Christ sakes. It's all useless biased "Data".

The only Data you can trust is your own experience and nothing else.

If the FBI releases stats that says violent crime is the lowest it's ever been, it means shit, if you, your loved one or neighbor was just a victim of violent crime.

I agree. But not WookieMan. Especially when his investment in crafting a bogus Housing Expert of PatNet rep is threatened by a single comment that calls out the bullshit.

Posting a graphic and a link to the source data are two different things. I don't care if it says it was from XYZ Agency from 2004. Show me the data from 2004 also known as 21 years ago. Irrelevant. This is what he posts.

I do get your point, but when you're making a point about something with 2004 data, no link to the data, no updated data, you're 100% untrustworthy. This is the shit the media does. I could find shit from the 1950's to prove a point, some map or graphic, but it's 75 years old....

That's my point when I ask for links. If I can get the data I can prove the faults in it and not just accept it to be true. Posting bull shit on the internet is bad for society. Fact is that map is obvious. BLM, Forestry and National Parks. You can still live on it as well. https://www.blm.gov/programs/lands-and-realty/leases-and-permits#:~:text=The%20BLM%20issues%20leases%20and,assembly%20yards%20and%20well%20pumps.

It's not like the land is off limits. Just stupid regulation hoops to jump through. The East is already populated and most of the West would be unrealistic to populate. Again, another useless graphic that is common knowledge with no link. Not you 10#

Yet you turn around and use that datum AS FACT because its convenient for you to do so:

See? He's doing it again. He discredits the map because 'no link is provided' but then refers to the map as an authoritive source to a point he's making...while bitching when others do the same.

Question is: Is he doing this on purpose or it's just a product of magical thinking that goes on in his head that he isn't even aware is happening?

This is echoed in marriage vows; "In sickness and in heath . . . "

A large part of the problem today is neopagan philosophies. Pagans believed that the sick and the deformed were being punished by the gods for whateverthefuck reason and should be shunned and left to die.

Christians triumphed over paganism largely because they followed the Corporal Works of Mercy: feed the hungry, tend to the sick, etc.. The scamdemic was a textbook example of how far our nation has reverted to paganism. The sick were the problem - this is pure paganism.
82   PeopleUnited   2025 Oct 17, 11:57pm

Well actually the scamdemic made everybody “the problem”. And the only solution was to stay away from everyone until they could inject you with an experimental biological agent.

Oh and if you had to be near people everyone including the healthy had to wear a mask that doesn’t filter out viruses, to protect everyone from viruses. It made perfect sense.

Craigslist would be second on that list were it public.

I don't know since they started charging to post. CL in all 3 counties in South Florida only has about 6 or 7 posts and most are over a month old. Cars and Housing section does OK I guess. And any sections that does have a smattering of daily posts. They are the same reposts going back as far as 8 months ago.
I remember when CL South Florida on most all sections would scroll for several pages for each day.
I was just looking in the Community section to see if any No Kings protests are planned around my area. I wanted to drive by and heckle their dumb asses. But every community section is a ghost town. Politics doesn't have one single post on the whole page. \

God. Whenever I see a reference to MySpace that Tila Tequila song pops up into my brain:

I ain't tryin' to fuck ya man

when he look at you, he be thinkin' 'bout me

The post shares a sepia photo of a 1st-century BCE Roman lead boiler and pipe system from Villa della Pisanella in Boscoreale, Italy, preserved intact by the 79 CE Vesuvius eruption, highlighting Roman engineering ingenuity.

This hypocaust boiler, used for underfloor heating in elite villas, demonstrates advanced hydraulics with solder joints and valves, akin to contemporary water systems but reliant on wood-fired heat.

Excavations in 1904 revealed the villa's luxury features; peer-reviewed analyses in the Journal of Roman Archaeology affirm its rarity, with calcium carbonate linings likely reducing lead leaching health risks.
