Some excellent moves from RFK Jr right off the bat:

https://www.coffeeandcovid.com/p/cancelation-notices-saturday-february

The first bombshell exploded when the CDC canceled its moronic annual flu shot campaign. Boom number one. This year’s campaign was branded “wild to mild,” with dramatic images of lions next to kittens, suggesting that the shots “tame” a virus into a feline companion or something. Pulling the campaign was common sense— even corporate media reported the flu jab efficacy was languishing around placebo levels. What’s the use?

Second, Kennedy has directed the CDC to stop with the Orwellian “nudge” tactics, fearmongering, and manipulative psyops, and focus its vaccine communications instead on the science, meaning in this case informed consent. For Portland readers, that means telling people about the real risks and benefits— without terrifying tall tales or emotional manipulation, just the facts. More common sense. ...

Third, and maybe best of all, the CDC indefinitely suspended its 19-member, tri-annual “panel” of vaccine advisors, the so-called Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP), which during the pandemic rubber-stamped every new covid shot, whether for infants, pregnant women, or people who don’t want shots. ...

WaPo said that unnamed “experts” have unlocked a new fear. “Experts,” WaPo vaguely reported, “fear that Kennedy — who has asserted the panel fails to adequately test vaccines and be transparent about safety data — could use his authority to potentially steer vaccine skeptics to the advisory committee or to abolish the panel altogether.”

Not that! Not dastardly vaccine skeptics! Not on their precious committee!

I, for one, would be fine with abolishing the panel altogether. It’s obviously useless. The one time it did stand up to Biden’s CDC over infant covid jabs, the CDC approved the shots anyway, and the APIC subsequently re-voted in favor. Totally useless.

Something is happening this week in MAHA history. Something big. Kennedy, criticized by hopeful MAHAnians yearning for the whole thing to be torn down right now, took a few months to get his running gears oiled and spinning smoothly. I may be misreading the political entrails, but I’m starting to think the thimerosal essay Kennedy tweeted yesterday (with footnotes!) was a formal declaration of war.

Today’s news was that Secretary Robert F. Kennedy, Jr.’s new ACIP vaccine committee —flushed and reconstituted within the last two weeks in a surprise coup— met yesterday in public for the first time. It was everything you’d have hoped it would be. ...

Martin Kulldorff, former professor of medicine at Harvard University and the committee’s new chair, sounded the battle trumpet by immediately inviting people to share any and all criticisms of vaccines, and torched the media for “fanning the flames of vaccine hesitancy” with lazy “anti-vaxxer” labels for the new panelists. Dr. Robert Malone, the panel’s vaccine-injured co-chair, said he considers the label “anti-vaxxer” to be “high praise.” Kulldorff reminded everyone he’d been fired from Harvard for refusing to get a covid shot because he already had natural immunity.

Dr. Kulldorf then announced the panel will soon review the entire childhood vaccine schedule, all 72 shots, not just individually, but also for their combined effects: “In addition to studying and evaluating individual vaccines, it’s important to evaluate the cumulative effect of a recommended vaccine schedule,” he said. ...

The American Academy of Pediatrics pre-emptively rage-quit, boycotting the meeting —its first absence in decades— sneering that, “we won’t lend our name or our expertise to a system that is being politicized at the expense of children’s health.” Okay (cough, school closures, cough). Other attending organizations, like the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology, whined about their new inability to unmute their microphones without being called on.

What followed was a glorious fusillade of hard questions. The panelists probed representatives from various agencies and industry groups with unanswerable queries that echoed through the conference room’s hallowed walls. The CDC’s representatives were tense and even shell-shocked, apparently unprepared by their prior professional careers for responding to any skeptical inquiry.

Dr. Robert Malone immediately proved his value, speaking soberly in deep scientific terms, invoking volumes of vaccine terminology, and citing research studies by name, on topics like spike protein persistence, adverse-event clusters, and lot-to-lot variability:

https://x.com/Humanspective/status/1937985251936244225

The new committee members didn’t vote on anything yesterday. They just asked questions and listened carefully. The meeting continues today, and a public agenda disclosed plans to vote on thimerosal in flu vaccines next week (hence Kennedy’s missive). I can’t wait.

Let us not pass too quickly by this astonishing historical moment. This is the first time in U.S. history that the federal vaccine committee threw anything but weak softballs or theatrical skepticism. The war has begun. It’s a new, more health-focused day in Washington, and Trump’s HHS has emerged from the shadows of controversy and marched onto the battlefield.

In other words, Kennedy just burned the ships. It’s on. There’s no way out but through.

But wait, there was more. A lot more. Yesterday, the Washington Post ran a related story headlined, “RFK Jr. says U.S. will stop funding global vaccine alliance Gavi.” “Until Gavi considers the best science available,” Kennedy said, “the United States won’t contribute more.” Cue the media meltdown.

Gavi — full name Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance — is one of those shadowy-sounding, feel-good global “public-private partnership” NGOs that always seem to involve Bill Gates, the World Health Organization, and a firehose of taxpayer money. Founded in 2000, Gavi claims to be saving the world by buying vaccines in bulk and shipping them off to poor countries — mostly for kids. It acts as a kind of middleman: donors give money (like the U.S., the U.K., and Gates), pharmaceutical companies supply vaccines, and Gavi makes sure shots get delivered — whether the locals want them or not.

Gavi claims it’s about access and equity. In reality, it’s about funneling billions through a slick international bureaucracy with zero voter oversight, ironclad PR, and very cozy ties to vaccine makers. It’s like the UN met Big Pharma in a dark Davos bathhouse. Until now, the U.S. kicked in 12% of Gavi’s total funding — billions over the years — with almost nothing to show for it in terms of transparency, safety audits, or public debate.

The Washington Post framed it as a moral catastrophe. It quoted a gallery of aghast public health mandarins declaring that “children will die” and “RFK Jr. will be personally responsible.” They trotted out Atul Gawande to call the move a “travesty” and a “nightmare.” Gates himself crawled out into the light of social media to lament “devastating consequences,” warning of “more sick kids,” “overcrowded hospitals,” and “grieving parents.”

Kennedy praised Gavi for trying to help poor folks, but then promptly accused Gavi of brushing off safety concerns and, in his best line, explained, “When vaccine safety issues have come before Gavi, Gavi has treated them not as a patient health problem, but as a public relations problem.” He cited a gold-standard study linking the DTP shot to increased childhood mortality — a topic corporate media won’t touch with a ten-foot hypodermic — and accused the “alliance” of ignoring inconvenient science.

None of WaPo’s hysterical experts bothered to cite any evidence that Gavi spends a single dollar on mitigating vaccine injuries or even troubling itself to track them. No quotes about surveillance systems. No mention of adverse event compensation. No data on injury rates.

Just emotion. Wild, hysterical emotion. ...

Gavi isn’t just about shots. It’s about control, narrative harmonization, and greasing the gears of global progressive power. Kennedy’s sudden cash withdrawal might jam more types of gears than the media is willing to openly admit: hence the hysteria. ...

We can finally begin to ask a thorny question no one has ever been able to satisfactorily answer: Is this what “draining the swamp” actually looks like in real life?

Not as a slogan or a rally chant. But as a methodical, piece-by-piece dismantling of the whole damnable machinery — the invisible gears of elite global influence, Marxist regulatory capture, and leftwing ideological graft.

First, USAID got scalped. Then NGOs were put on a starvation diet. Then came the DEI bloodletting. Then, the NIH closed the spigot for transgender rodent grants. Harvard’s gravy train went into the culvert. Big Pharma is suddenly playing defense in every direction. NATO’s finances are being strained to the limits of what Europe can bear, evaporating the dark budgets that once sloshed freely through the Swiss Alps. ActBlue investigations. DNC checks bouncing.

And now Gavi —the crown jewel of global health virtue signaling— just had its funding rug (a delightful 4000-thread-count Turkish classic) yanked right out from under it.

Piece by piece, dollar by dollar, what we’re witnessing is not chaos. Please. It’s not even payback. It’s a plan. We can now see the deliberate logic that was hiding behind the frantic scramble. It’s a strategic, rapid-fire offensive —carefully calibrated and coldly executed (cue Nessum Dorma)— aimed at dismantling the entire unaccountable infrastructure of elite global control.

Considering all the mRNA "vaccines" coming down the pipeline, it's probably necessary to have one expert in this field on the panel. That being said, Malone could be the Trojan Horse.

When was the last time Malone actually worked with mRNA? This is kind of like Colonel MacGregor of the vaccine world. Finds a way to get paid to toss out word salads at conferences where the majority of people are there to "learn" and he does paid podcast appearances. No one really knows if he's telling the truth.

Basically it's lonely old men that like travel, getting paid, free meals, golf probably and basically doing nothing. Talk for 30-60 minutes and get paid and chat for another hour after you're done. Or you lie and say you have other obligations and just go back to your hotel room. This is what my wife does, but she sells a product and has an employer. On TV occasionally. These guys work on their own and do what they want. I don't trust these guys.

COVID-19 Vaccine Labels Updated With Expanded Warnings About Risk of Heart Inflammation

The Food and Drug Administration directed manufacturers to update the labels.

Federal regulators on June 25 updated labels for the Pfizer-BioNTech and Moderna COVID-19 vaccines to expand warnings regarding heart inflammation.

The updated labels state that myocarditis, inflammation, and a related condition called pericarditis have occurred following receipt of one of the shots “most commonly in males 12 years through 24 years of age.”

Under RFK Jr.’s MAHA direction, the new ACIP just removed the universal flu shot recommendation — and voted against thimerosal-containing vaccines.

No press release. No spotlight. Just a quiet reversal after decades of pushing mercury-laced shots on the masses.

The science didn’t change. The politics did.

This is what happens when truth gets a seat at the table.

https://slaynews.com/news/fda-issues-warning-deadly-heart-injury-covid-vaxxed-young-men/

In a stunning about-face, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has been forced to issue a warning that Covid mRNA “vaccines” come with a real, measurable, and potentially long-term risk of heart damage, especially in young men and teenage males.

The FDA is only now acknowledging what critics have warned about for years.

Newly appointed FDA Commissioner Dr. Vinay Prasad issued a class-wide safety label update for all Covid mRNA injections.

The federal agency is finally admitting to the elevated risk of myocarditis and related cardiac injury among those who received the shots.

However, while the warning may be new, the data isn’t.

The FDA has had access to this information for years but chose to remain silent.

As Slay News has previously reported, Myocarditis is a “silent killer” at the center of the sudden deaths crisis that emerged after the Covid injections were rolled out for public use in early 2021. ...

However, this move, while necessary, feels more like damage control than genuine reform.

A label update is a belated admission of failure.

The agency admits it suppressed early safety signals, some under political pressure.

Yet there is still no reckoning.

There are still no hearings, prosecutions, or apologies.

And that dangerous toxic slime is still on the market. It should be banned immediately.

You just cannot make this madness up. It is incredible that the greatest public health disasters OWS lockdowns and Malone mRNA vaccine are being covered up and presented as ‘saving lives’. And life goes on. And RFK Jr. has not removed the mRNA vaccines from market and I today will say never will. We have been fed a 6 for a 9 and IMO, all those in the health agencies now, some good people, are there ONLY to block for RFK Jr. and make you think change and fix is coming. Further from the truth. There are there to continue status quo and even expand mRNA to you all. It is all a game, like during COVID. All a lie and con. Word games. The public remains the loser.

The moment not one word was mentioned at POTUS Trump’s RNC convention of COVID or lockdowns or mRNA vaccine, the moment Ms. Wiles was made CoS, you knew the game. The con. The moment RFK Jr. advised he was endorsing Trump and then went silent on OWS lockdowns and COVID and mRNA vaccine, we knew something was up. It is all playing out now. The moment DNC and Biden also did not address COVID and the Malone deadly mRNA vaccine, in their DNC convention, you knew the fix was in.

In January, I had the lovely experience of being able to go to DC for the inauguration and attend the MAHA Ball.

The next day I went to lunch with some of my long time very close activist friends who had attended as well. A member of the Capital Hill Club, long time GOP haunt where Republicans meet to mingle, schmooze, and lobby, invited us to lunch at the membership only establishment.

I was about 10 steps behind my friends on the busy sidewalk when two well dressed Washingtonian looking young men passed me leaving the club. As they approached me one turned to the other and said, "Fuck Bobby. I'll go over his head to Suzie Wiles."

Question: Are you, the doctor, prescribing this medication to me to cure me or are you doing so
to get a kickback?

Yesterday, Secretary Kennedy announced that HHS and CMS Director Mehmet Oz repealed a long-standing Medicare reimbursement policy that financially incentivized hospitals to push covid shots. My take: I guess some people don’t like secret bribes for doctors to jam EUA drugs with no long-term safety data down patients’ throats. Weird. Something about “informed consent.” Dunno.

https://x.com/SecKennedy/status/1951372406968164599

Thanks to the leadership of @DrOzCMS, we’ve just repealed a dangerous Biden-era provision in the CMS inpatient payment rule that pressured hospitals to mandate COVID-19 shots for doctors and nurses. This rule tied public reporting of staff vaccination rates to federal incentives—turning hospitals into enforcers instead of caregivers. It was a backdoor mandate, pure and simple—and it had no place in a system that should protect informed consent.

Patients must be free to trust their doctors—without government coercion, hidden pressures, or rigged incentives distorting their care.

At @HHSGov, we’re cutting out every last one of these corrupt incentives. We’re putting the patient—not Pharma or Washington—back at the center of healthcare.

“We reviewed the science, listened to the experts, and acted,” said HHS Secretary Robert F. We’re shifting that funding toward safer, broader vaccine platforms that remain effective even as viruses mutate.”

A half billion here, a half billion there, and pretty soon it adds up to real money. This morning, the New York Times led with a headline to keep medical fetishists up at night: “RFK Jr. Cancels Nearly $500 Million in mRNA Vaccine Contracts.” And that’s on top of the $600 million in bird flu ‘vaccines’ that Kennedy canceled back in May.

Now, they could still privately fund these projects an reap the rewards themselves but, well, you know. For the liberal-minded, the only thing worse than no life-saving vaccine is a life-saving vaccine with a co-pay. “This is a bad day for science,” grumbled mRNA developer Scott Hensley. It was also a bad day for his investment account, since the free government money just dried up. Now he must convince private investors. Who want results.

A “bad day for science” means it was a great day for human beings.

I don’t know who needs to hear this. But Moderna, for just one example, is a publicly traded company with billions in market cap, a war chest of covid windfall cash, and obligations to shareholders. If its pipeline of mRNA products is so promising, why should taxpayers fund the research?

Anyway, in its release, HHS said the $500 million in contract cancellations covered twenty-two different projects, all managed by BARDA, the government’s hybrid health-military-espionage biomedical skunkworks, a mutant love baby between DARPA and anthrax vaccines. After being cloned from DARPA in 2006, BARDA has spent money like a tipsy Ukrainian oligarch’s wife, with free license to invest in unsupervised “lone-bidder” contracts and unaccountable, high-risk “moonshot” projects.

Like what kind of projects, you ask? Haha, never mind, silly, because BARDA awards are often classified or redacted. Don’t get mad. It’s for your own good. (All of it is ironically hilarious, because the only people who don’t know what’s going on are the people who paying the tab. Everyone else —scientists, military, congresspeople, and every spook in the world— know exactly what’s happening. You can’t hide a large-scale science operation from them. Please.)

Since 2006, BARDA’s tangible accomplishments can only be measured by billions spent. Its only visible achievement is a “national stockpile” of slowly expiring vaccines for pandemics that never happened and untested miracle drugs nobody is taking.

If it sounds like a black-site, off-books funding operation for big pharma, well, you can decide for yourself.

Either way, BARDA officials swank their dark checkbooks around and have become quite popular in some places. For instance, they get invited to all the after-hours parties at pharma conventions. Wink, wink. You get what I’m saying, homie?

We saw last month in a leaked pharma memo that the jab industry is terrified of RFK, and repeatedly emphasized its new PR plan to lean into national security and fear. So, guess what the Times’ compliant pet experts said?

“Ending BARDA’s investment in mRNA technology creates a national security vulnerability,” said Chris Meekins, some kind of former pandemic official. Good doggie! He wasn’t done. He explained himself, sort of: “These tools serve as a deterrent to prevent other nations from using certain biological agents,” Meekins tweeted.

What nations? Which “certain” biological agents? Um, were those nations and certain biological agents funded by U.S. grants, too? Are we paying for both sides?? The diseases AND the cures? Like we did in, oh, dammit, what’s that city called again, Wu-something? The bat place?

(As far as I can tell, the Times found Meekins’ quote by randomly searching Twitter; Meekins’ puny tweet had only 139 views, two likes, and no replies. That, evidently, constitutes hard-breaking news nowadays.) ...

Tl;dr: Kenney wiped out $500 million in sketchy mRNA skunkworks projects and the Times predicted doom. The end.

Top Vaccine Regulator Returns to FDA Two Weeks After He Was Fired

Dr. Vinay Prasad will lead the FDA’s vaccine and biologics division after resigning amid pressure from critics less than two weeks ago, HHS confirmed. ...

During the COVID-19 pandemic, Prasad publicly opposed masking toddlers and voiced concerns about myocarditis risks for young men who received mRNA COVID-19 vaccines.

While at the FDA, he and Makary limited approvals for updated COVID-19 vaccines to people over age 65 and people with one or more health conditions that put them at high risk for the virus.

However, Prasad and Makary’s framework, which they outlined in an article published in the New England Journal of Medicine, did not completely take COVID-19 shots off the table for healthy people between the ages of 6 months and 64 years.

The director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is refusing to leave her post, despite demands from Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. that she quit or be fired, according to her lawyers and an administration official familiar with the events. ...

Late Wednesday afternoon, the Department of Health and Human Services announced on X that Dr. Monarez was “no longer” director of the C.D.C.’ ...

‘Dr. Monarez and Mr. Kennedy were at odds over vaccine policy, according to an administration official who is familiar with the events.’

‘The official, who spoke on condition of anonymity for fear of retribution, said Mr. Kennedy summoned Dr. Monarez to his office on Monday and demanded that she resign. When she refused, Mr. Kennedy demanded that she remove the agency’s top leadership by the end of the week.’

Dr. Monarez then called Senator Bill Cassidy, the Republican chairman of the Senate health committee, who in turn called Mr. Kennedy, according to the official. Mr. Kennedy, furious, summoned Dr. Monarez to a second meeting on Tuesday and accused her of “being a leaker,” according to the official, and told her she would be fired.’

The official said Dr. Monarez spoke to other senators as well. On Wednesday, a White House official told Dr. Monarez that if she did not resign by the end of the day, President Trump would terminate her.

The four high-ranking agency officials who did resign are Dr. Debra Houry, the C.D.C.’s chief medical officer; Dr. Demetre Daskalakis, who ran the center that issues vaccine recommendations; Dr. Daniel Jernigan, who oversaw the center that oversees vaccine safety; and Dr. Jennifer Layden, head of the office of public health data.

Nobody in MAHA much liked former CDC Director Susan Monarez, who never met a mask or vaccine she didn’t love. Though the facts of her appointment a month ago remain mysterious, the most likely theory is that, since Secretary Kennedy made various promises to Senator Bill Cassidy (R-La.) to support his confirmation, Cassidy successfully demanded Monarez after Kennedy’s first choice for CDC Director fell through.

Either way, yesterday the White House finally fired her. Media reports suggested she was protecting a cascade of cartoon-like career CDC employees, such as “Monkeypox Czar” Demetre Daskalakis, pictured above. Daskalakis, who employees praised as being a “hands-on” manager, also resigned yesterday, presumably preempting his own termination. You can’t fire me, I quit!

Of course, Demetre also posted a whiny and self-pitying “resignation tweet” that both managed to include the phrase “pregnant persons” and also ended, predictably, with his pronouns. Case closed.

Unlike Demetre, but like mortgage fraud and Fed Governor Lisa Cook, CDC Director Monarez is currently refusing to quit. According to the article, her attorney insisted, “Monarez never intended to resign, never told anyone that she intended to do so, and legally remains in the position because President Donald Trump did not personally fire her.”

1. In the case of Autism and SIDS RFKjr has huge amounts of data - going back about 60 years - that
vaccines on children cause Autism and SIDS.
2. Once this is officially published in a few days he is going to move into the mRNA vaccines. One of
the problems he is facing here is that a lot of the people in his ministry are tools of the establishment and
he needs to get rid of them

Yesterday, Axios ran a story headlined, “What to know about Jim O'Neill, new acting CDC director.” The leftwing paper warned, “O'Neill, who is not a physician, is an ally of Health Secretary Kennedy and could help him enact the Make America Health Again agenda.” Not that!

“O'Neill publicly criticized the CDC during the COVID pandemic,” Axios added, “and has pushed treatments that are not supported by scientific research, like ivermectin.”

As did most corporate media, Axios sneered at Mr. Kennedy’s transgression of the CDC’s “traditional institutional independence.” But the CDC has no legal “independence” like the Fed or the judiciary does. So the complaints are just more whining about “norms and customs.”

During the pandemic, the CDC traded away its carefully cultivated aura of scientific neutrality in exchange for short-term political utility, carrying water for mandates, school closures, and shifting narratives. That credibility capital was burned like dry tinder, on purpose, to achieve short-term political objectives.

Now they don’t want to pay the bill.

That’s why RFK can install someone like Mr. O’Neill, who is not a doctor, and is openly critical of the agency’s pandemic conduct. The CDC has lost whatever reserve of public trust that could have successfully insulated it. It can no longer plead that it’s “above politics”— after having played politics.

The CDC’s director is appointed by the President, but until this year, did not require Senate confirmation (unlike, e.g., the FBI director or Attorney General). In fact, when Biden appointed goofy Rochelle Walensky during covid, she just took the job without any Senate vote.

But in January, a new law (passed by Biden) required all future CDC nominees to be confirmed. Undoubtedly, this was done to frustrate President Trump, helped by Republicans furious about Biden’s CDC directors. Susan Monarez was the first who required confirmation.

Under the Federal Vacancies Reform Act, an acting CDC director can serve for up to 210 days from the date of the vacancy, unless a nomination for a permanent director is submitted to the Senate, which can extend the acting service period while the nomination is pending, or if confirmation is attempted but fails. So O’Neill could be sticking around for a while, which is why progressive medical fetishists are freaking out.

One possibility for a permanent CDC Director making the gossip rounds this week is standout Florida Surgeon General Joe Ladapo, who’s packed to the gills with both Ivy League credentials and MAHA bona fides. While serving here, he’s beaten back mandates, nixed flouride, withered covid shots, assaulted mercury fillings, and advocated for raw milk.

Governor DeSantis lobbied hard for Dr. Ladapo after Trump’s election, but Kennedy was politically boxed into hiring Susan Monarez instead.

The Guardian carried what was perhaps yesterday’s best news. The article ran below the headline, “RFK Jr critic Paul Offit removed from FDA vaccine advisory committee.” Bye, Felicia!

Grandfatherly Paul Offit isn’t the disinterested scientist that corporate media suggests. He’s the consummate insider. He co-invented the rotavirus vaccine Rotateq, cashing out for tens of millions in royalties, which makes him less of an objective adviser and more of a salesman in a lab coat.

While sitting on the FDA’s vaccine advisory committee, he helped guide policies that benefited the very industry from which he profited, a glaring conflict of interest. Offit has also become the media’s favorite go-to “expert,” quick to dismiss parental concerns about safety as “anti-science” while tossing off cavalier soundbites like “children could handle 10,000 vaccines at once.”

During the pandemic, mild-mannered Offit emerged as one of the loudest defenders of the vaccine establishment, becoming a permanent fixture on CNN, NPR, and in the pages of the New York Times. As a member of the FDA’s vaccine committee, he routinely backed emergency authorizations and aggressive rollout strategies, occasionally voicing pro-forma technical concerns, but always ultimately voting in favor of mass vaccination.

Throughout the pandemic, he positioned himself as a bulwark against asking questions, castigating even mild hesitation as dangerous. He became the human face of the “public health priesthood”: a so-called scientist with deep pharma ties, regulatory influence, and a media megaphone, pushing mandates while dismissing the lived concerns of ordinary Americans.

Now, without warning, Offit is off of it (the FDA’s vaccine panel). He said he wasn’t given a reason. Notably, the only person the Guardian quoted for its stupid, biased story (besides Offit himself) was dumpy, bow-tied wonder Peter Hotez, who has also made a fortune in vaccine sales. No other committee members, HHS staff, or anti-vaxxers had a chance to speak. So much for balance.

In the grocery store in tri valley yesterday, I saw self administration flu vaccines for sale on a pharmacy shelf. They have bypassed even the fig leaf of medical personnel to flog the vaxes.

We have no meaningful protections from the medical psychopaths and profiteers any more.
