Calm down. We're both free to bitch at each other. I'm giving you a hard time. There are a lot of weeks in 4 years is all.

2nd one is a fake, but I agree with it.

Mexico shuts down the border:

We should go over there and weld that shit shut.

The hatchback version of the Civic is already made in Indiania and has been for a couple of years.

They are moving production of the Civic hybrid from Mexico to Indiana.

I'll be in Mexico again in two weeks. This is a hyperbolic video of shutting gates that may not even be the main lanes at the border. No different than a toll booth, if demand is low they close certain lanes.

Average Mexican in Mexico doesn't care because Americans buy and visit. Spring break there are resorts with 2,000 rooms at $500-700/nt. plus. We have manufacturing there. The cartel makes a ton of money off Americans. If they don't want us going there, their GDP probably goes down by 30-40%.

I don't know the exact amount but I believe they've doubled port fees for cruises. Ships are changing itineraries to avoid the place. Mexico is a tourist destination for the US and Euros. If that tourism goes away, they're toast. No new investment, construction or service jobs. 30% unemployment overnight.

The cruise stops are all shitholes. I wouldn't get off the ship in Mexico.

They can't. Jones Act forces them to stop at least one foreign port. So for Alaska cruises, it's Canada. For Hawaii and LA, Mexico. If they only go to domestic ports, then that isn't considered international voyages. That means the ships would have to be US built, owned by US citizens and crewed by US nationals.

Gulf of America cruises obviously have more options that West Coast cruises do not. Is that what you were referring to?

If America gets a sniffle, Mexico gets both viral and bacterial pneumonia.

Been plenty of times. Not true. I'm a Chicago guy, you'r Baltimore. It's worse in those cities. If anything it's better and cheaper in Mexico.

If you have a problem in Mexico you were doing something stupid. People get drunk and mixed up with the wrong people at their location probably trying to get drugs. Mexicans don't want issues in tourist areas. Safer than most US cities.

So stay in the touristy areas and you will be fine? I understand that you can't even buy OTC antibiotics in Mexico any more and get back on the cruise ship with them.
