So apparently we are now desperately trying to shed all post-WWII and post-1991 alliances and crawl in bed with the USSR in supposedly nixonic move to "pry the USSR from PRC" just like Nixon betrayed Taiwan and embraced Mao in order to "pry PRC from the USSR".

With this assumption in mind, I have two questions:

1) Did the original faustian bargain by Nixon play out good in long perspective? Apparently not since we're now on the verge of WWIII with PRC and these fucks are more powerful now than USSR ever was.

2) What is the value of having USSR on our side at the cost of much more economically powerful, technologically advanced and populous Europe? It can't be their tech - their tech is shit. It can't be their industrial capacity: their biggest tank manufacturer cranks out only 10-12 fresh tanks per month and they get fucking artillery shells from NoKo. It can't be their military - their military is going into battle against much smaller opponent on fucking donkeys and avance 40 miles in two years. Do you think then can put any significant pressure on China on the ground while we fight them in the Pacific while keeping pressure on the European side? With what? Their fleet is even bigger joke than their army, so they can't help us in the Pacific. So what's the point of this misalliance again?

The bullshit propaganda you cling to.

The Russians produce millions of shells per year and more tanks than the useless eloi do.

more economically powerful

WTF? The eloi annual GDP growth is what again? Compared to Russia's 5%?

But the main difference is in that the Russians MAKE ACTUAL SHIT while most of Europe does not and rapidly deindustrializing. The Poles are the exception. They licensed to build thousands of South Korea's Panther MBTs. Buy that will take years. They have a crash order of a few hundred to be build in SK. But the rest of Europe? Crap.

Russia is estimated at 2M shells pre-war which is believed to be nearing 3M. I think Rheinmetall is now up to 300k 155mm shells. The US about 800k, though I forget if that's total or given to Ukraine. France and Italy manufacture but in much smaller quantities

None of this is surprising, the Russians have believed even more than Napoleon that Arty is the Queen of Battle.

The Russians are winners despite all their problems. Vs the eloi can't - and more importantly won't - do shit about China.

The Russians can still wipe us out with the world's largest nuclear arsenal. That commands respect.

The Eloi are nothing but an albatross over our necks. Even more so than when the Cold War ended.

Just stop with the Ukey Nazi Fluffing, will ya?

It's pathetic.

You fucking kidding me? Their missiles don't even work w/o US guidance systems, as the whole world just found out.

How's that reverse Nixon going? Asking for a friend.

'Friends of steel' — Xi, Putin vow to strengthen cooperation ahead of Victory Day celebrations, slam US leadership.

Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chinese President Xi Jinping hailed their countries' relationship on May 8, vowing to increase cooperation in all areas, including military ties.
