President Donald Trump’s administration has revealed that an investigation into past data from U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has found that the statistics had been falsified to hide the real scale of the border crisis from the American people.

The Trump administration has escalated ICE enforcement, achieving more arrests in a short span than those executed throughout 2024.

However, the Trump administration alleges the ICE statistics were falsified under former President Joe Biden to give a misleading impression of immigration enforcement.

Acting ICE Director Todd Lyons has been vocal about accusations that the previous administration’s statistics were inaccurately reported.

According to a comprehensive internal ICE review, many instances classified as arrests during Biden’s presidency were, in reality, cases where individuals were processed but subsequently released.

Remember, no person is illegal! Those who commit the crime of breaking in to the US are criminal aliens. Let's all use the correct term from now on.

Trump isn’t deporting any out here btw. it’s not happening in red states.

Republicans too, love their cheap labor.

Red States don't have sanctuary cities. Impossible task to hit every urban area in the country at once.

Also part of the strategy is to get people to leave on their own. No way to track that. A 40-50 year old Mexican or Central American could have saved enough to move back and live for dirt cheap and technically be rich in their home country. There are primary targets and that's what ICE is going after.

Fact is moving people is no easy task. Border is seemingly shut down. If there's a net outflow, that's a win either way. Might just take time for them to get to your area.

I was recently at Home Depot and asked the worker why the store and parking lot were so empty (thinking maybe I hit the magic hour when it's not crowded). She said that people weren't milling around because they were afraid of ICE.

In these times of fake news, it's hard to know what to believe. I usually assess the plausibility of a story and go from there.

Here are some things that seem plausible:
• Foreign nations are saving money by parolling their criminals early so long as they leave that country.
• Criminal enterprises established in foreign countries are spilling over into this country.
• Biden administration's multiple illegal alien enticements (free stuff) are attracting all sorts of illegal aliens, including both (mostly) honest worker type people as well as criminals.
• Inside the US, government is covering up (or simply not measuring) a large rise in lawlessness. For example, shoplifting and other "petty" theft around the neighborhood are simply not reported or, if reported, not collated into crime statistics.
• Even here in the USA we have an expression "run for the border" — now work that expression for citizens in other countries.
