The only people who should have any power over the public are elected officials. Everyone in the bureaucracy should be subject to instant firing by the elected officials put over them.
The Romans replaced magistrates and consuls every year to prevent the permanent corruption we have now. Our entire establishment has been corrupted by corporations and lobbyists for foreign governments, especially Pfizer and AIPAC. At the very least, we need term limits, 12 years at the very most, so two terms for the Senate and six terms for Congress.
