What is Studio Ghibli?
Founded in 1985, Studio Ghibli is a Japanese animation studio co-founded by directors Hayao Miyazaki and Isao Takahata. Known for its detailed animation and rich storytelling, the studio is considered contemporary art and has become a cultural icon both in Japan and globally.

One of my favorite family movies, "My Neighbor Totoro" was produced by Studio Ghibli. It was directed by Hayao Miyazaki and released in 1988. Very much influenced by Japanese mythologies about forest creatures that permeate their culture. Westerners like me will never fully understand this, but I'm fascinated nonetheless.
