They're both awesome.

Vance is great on a range of issues, so is DeSantis
Vance gets alot about America not being a Free Trade Zone, but an Actual Country, more so than DeSantis.
DeSantis pushed through a ton of shit, including against a RINO State Legislature that wanted to sit on their ass, from redistricting to anti-woke laws to ICE cooperation.

Tough call.

What say you?

Whoever promises to ban the dangerous and defective mRNA jabs.

Massive bonus points for promising to prosecute everyone who mandated it.

I distrust Vance, so DeSantis gets my vote.

Neither one will be true MAGA. Vance however, has expressed sentiments about deglobalization/fuck NATO even when he wasn't on camera (the leaked chat transcripts).

Agree. Not much he can control but like RFK, DeSantis is a hard listen when he talks. His voice sounds so whiney. Vance talks and behaves like a tough man. RD wears heels to appear taller. I think both of their policies are in line with what I'd agree to, I'm more talking favorability in an election. I think JD is ahead.

Is Elon working with DeSantis advisors to attack Trump and by association, DeSantis primary 2028 rival VP Vance?

Who knows? Who the hell is in charge of the Republican party anyway? Elon may have been a Trojan horse with DOGE. We'll see. 2028 should be interesting. I would say they're the two front runners. Rand Paul will throw in as usual. I actually think Rubio gets in the mix again.

I hope there's no infighting beyond Musk. Republicans have enough pitchers in the bullpen. Dems are going to have to find an infielder to run for POTUS. They have no bullpen. Sanders or AOC are automatic losses. They need a 1st round draft pick to stick.

Focus needs to be on the midterms at this point. IL has a winnable Senate seat. I don't trust IL Republicans though. My House Rep has been testing the waters and is in the lead. I like her, but she is a Dem and will vote party lines. She does fine in the House, I don't trust her in Senate. Lauren Underwood.

A dark horse like Obama she's already just over the age for POTUS. Not a prediction, but IL is known for prominent politicians getting into office and power. If she were to get the Senate seat in 2026 it's eerily close to the Obama trajectory and she runs in 2028 for POTUS. She's not the usual uneducated black Congress person. Having met her multiple times she's very intelligent and knows the political game. I wouldn't be shocked if she becomes the first black female POTUS.

I wouldn't vote for her though. I don't think women should be POTUS in general. Call me sexist.

I dont trust any man wearing platforms. His time came and went.

As a Floridian I favor DeSantis. He’s done a great job pissing off the cry baby leftists and has the experience getting things done. I also like JD, obviously a better speaker and has more charisma. Not a bad second choice.

DeSantis, though suspected as a "Bushie" has, indisputably has some victorious actions, not just talk:

* Marshaled Florida's cowardly RINO-infested GOP into redistricting, getting a map much more aggressive than the Tepid FL Legislature leadership wanted.

* Cracked down on crime and stood firm during the George Floyd wave of cowardly grovelling

* Got rid of the Concealed Carry Permit and instituted it as a fundamental right

* Made standing up to rioters a right, not a risk

* Really good on illegal immigration, including the famous Martha's Vineyard thing, during the tough years of 2021-2022. Continuing with Alligator Alcatraz. Opposing our retarded Sec of Agra, who is a shill for illegal cheap labor.

* He DID run in the primary against Trump in 2024, but was pushed into it by donors, word is he personally did not want to run against Trump. That is concerning but not a deal-breaker for me.

* Continually pushed to reform property tax, suspended unnecessary Turnpike tolls and discussed eventually phasing them out with a trust program for toll highway maintenance, etc.

* Stood up against FL Legislature's cucking to Insurance Companies (this he was not as successful with)

* Is definitely not WokeRIght with all the post-liberal bullshit, a big plus in my book

JD hands down. Desantis doesn't relate well to people. Optics are a thing too. He's weird looking, speaks weird, has no charisma and only has a few highlight moments of value in my opinion.

Put Desantis on for an hour with Theo Von. You think he's going to talk about cocaine and laugh about it? JD is just more relatable to a lot of people. As an outsider from FL Desantis works for FL, but I just don't think he's a nationwide candidate that relates to more people that will vote for him. JD has my vote so far if he runs. 4 years apart in age between the two, but I'll take the younger one with VP experience.

Ultimately it depends what the Dems bring to the table. I think if it's a boomer they're screwed on the Dem side. So JD or Desantis would likely win either way. Voters don't want old people and 3 years a lot of old people will die along with deportation. R's are looking at 8 years from 2028 unless they fuck it up which is possible. Not sure about congress.

SCOTUS is the biggie currently. Thomas and Alito need to retire before Trump is out. Start it after the 2026 midterms. Cannot risk them dying under a Dem executive term if it happens in 2028. 77 Thomas and 75 Alito. Sotomayor at 71 and diabetic could drop at any moment. Stuck with Jackson and Kagen likely. Would be nice to get Roberts out and get 3-4 younger conservative justices. Roberts seems like a guy that will live to 90 though and stay in a do nothing job just dictating what he thinks as a staffer writes it up. A 7-2 would be phenomenal. Wishful thinking.

Governor DeSantis’ second and final term expires next year. If President Trump really wanted to rattle the rafters of the marble palace, he could nominate Ron DeSantis to SCOTUS.

DeSantis is a Harvard-trained lawyer and former Navy JAG. He has spent his career navigating the intersection of law, politics, and executive power. Unlike most justices, he’s lived the consequences of constitutional theory in the political Thunderdome: governing one of the nation’s most complex and combative states through hurricane seasons, pandemics, and pitched cultural battles.

That kind of trial by fire could be exactly what the Court lacks— someone who knows how the text of the law lands on the lives of real people.

Detractors would howl about “broken norms,” complaining that DeSantis has never been a judge. But the Constitution doesn’t require judicial seasoning; only judgment. Some of the Court’s most influential members, like Earl Warren and William Rehnquist, came to the bench without ever donning a robe.

You heard it here first: DeSantis for Supreme Court.

Doesn't Rubio want a piece of that action? Maybe he'd settle for VP.

Desantis isn't national material unfortunately similar to Newsom. I don't really have a problem with him but JD is substantially more likable. Get Clarence Thomas to retire due to his age. Rubio is better POTUS material long term. He also could take Sotomayor's seat when she croaks. She ain't no spring chicken and believe she has some disease.

Assuming they don't fuck up the courts and congress, there's potential for 20 years of non-bull shit. Rubio is still young and can run in 10 years and not be a geezer. I'm not a republican, but they have a bullpen of options. Dems, nope. If Newsom is their best shot it's over in '28 for 8 years.

Wild card, and only because I know her, Lauren Underwood, House Rep. IL. Chance to be the female Barack Obama. Not a prediction, but it's a high probability. She skipped Durbin's opening for Senate. She has higher ambitions. I wouldn't vote for a woman POTUS, but she's much smarter than Kamala or Hillary.

During DeSantis' Governorship, half of the State of Florida's debt was paid off.

Rubio isn't second fiddle. He's the most qualified out of them all to President.

JD Vance needs to earn more real hit points. Sure it's one thing to be a based bro on the microphone.
But in reality, JD Vance isn't in any position to create or implement any policy. He's the VP for the most easiest person in America, to be the VP for. It's such an easy job, that even a Snake like Judas Pence, fooled us all until the 11th hour.

While DeSantis is doing good for Florida, he lost hit points, trying to parlay his Governor win, into a 2024 Presidential run. The true moniker of an unworthy rookie. Also what DeSantis does do, it's easy low hanging fruit, and really costs him nothing with his donors. Stop the Covid madness, be the first to lift Covid restrictions, offer to kill property taxes. All easy stuff, that shouldn't conflict with any GOP RINO donors.

Rubio is the only one taking the global establishment to task, he's the only one that can be judged by his actions as much as his intentions. He's building a tangible record to run on. He has 3 more years to do so. If he doesn't screw it up or reveal an ulterior motive, then he will only build upon creating that capital to run on.

Rubio seems like a smart guy who would make a good president, except for being a bit short. People like to elect tall men as their leaders.

Desantis dragged the RINO legislature on a number of issues, putting their weak redistricting plan on steroids and bullypulpiting them into compliance.

That's a VERY necessary skill for a President, given the GOP in House and Senate. Maybe THE most important skill

Be very careful about the Powerful Players and Organizations trying to claim we don't need a primary and it's divisive.

Having primaries and debates is 110% American.
