Is it just an excuse for Congressional members to put on another fruitless howler monkey theater with absolutely no effect outside of political show?

Remember most political posturing in Congress, even if it winds up in some lengthy committee, is referred to the Executive (DOJ) or DOD and/or the courts for enforcements through an inevitable thickets of lawsuits.

How many huge 'investigations' and findings like the Church Committee were referred to the DOD/DOJ/Executive for prosecution and enforcement, where they were entirely ignored? It seems more wind up in the boneyard of history than in any effective prosecution or punishment.

I think the strategy may be more of a wedge to introduce Biden's alleged incompetency, or mental defect, or the fact that it was never Biden at all. The diplomatic privilege of using body double for imposter politicians would have to be breached. Since virtually all politicians beyond a certain rank and level use body doubles, it is likely that that diplomatic immunity would hold.

This will be an interesting process. All of the suspects willy nilly using the autopen (likely Senior Executive Service and Obama proxies) will have to defend with ongoing lies. It comes down to 'intent' and 'authority' of the Biden figure/actor. How does DOJ demonstrate that Biden whomever was an empty stuffed shirt, either through mental defect or falsification? It seems like a high wire act and a war of nerves about the unreality of the reality.

Trump is now going after the autopen head on. Biden Actor (s) can't really testify to anything because it would uncover the fraud that original Biden was always dead. Plus, those in the administration who took money to use the autopen for pardons or appointments will be uncovered and will be liable.

I don't think Trump would have announced this until he was pretty certain that it could be litigated properly in whatever venue required.
