The Department of Homeland Security is considering new regulations that would prevent H-1B visa extensions, according to two U.S. sources briefed on the proposal. The measure potentially could stop hundreds of thousands of foreign workers from keeping their H-1B visas while their green card applications are pending.

All those jobs should be going to American kids, not h1b foreigners. But that’s not how big tech works, all ran by unpatriotic assholes.
356   stereotomy   2025 Aug 9, 3:59pm

Indians who get here always try to gift and ingratiate themselves with US citizens. They know how good a ride they're getting.

Once they achieve influence, however, the gloves are off.

"Gee, why are we becoming a low trust society?"

"My Uncle Raj works at Mumbai Tech School. For $200 I can get you a certified, real diploma from there"

H1B is just importing illegals vs bringing them here illegally. It’s our own businesses who sell America.

I can see letting spouses of H1B workers get jobs provided that the H1B is used for its express purpose. That is, only for a specialized highly trained or talented individual who will add value, like a Von Braun or Einstein type. Disney should be prosecuted for bringing in H1B workers to replace existing American labor. One method to stop H1B abuse for cheap labor would be a yearly tax on each H1B employee. A company would not mind the expense for a truly gifted and rare talent but would be deterred from using H1B to drive down wages.

Looks like the Federal government is gonna change the way H1B's are allocated. Seems like they are going to be based on the salary of the hire instead of random drawings. Should drive up wages.

Holy shit lol someone created a website to let Americans apply to the market surveys for unlisted H1B-earmarked job openings that have already been given to a foreign applicant

If any US citizen applies to one of these, they legally can’t issue an H1B for it hahahahahahahahaha

Effectively, merely by being marginally qualified and applying for the job, you can throw a wrench into this whole thing. You don’t have to get the job (you probably won’t, the company and HR exec, and Indian Hiring Manager will be absolutely livid that you applied at all)… but by applying for the job as a US Citizen, you’re effectively auto-denying an H1B residency in the United States. You’re creating a legal clusterfuck for the company.

Of course some one will have to actually start initiating lawsuits, but even in the short term, it’ll have a significant effect if every time Google or Meta or whoever lists a job opportunity for a “software engineer,” they get 5 or 10 U.S. citizens applying for that job. It screws up the entire H1B system because suddenly there’s competition from qualified Americans… meaning that hiring an H1B is for that position is now illegal.

You misunderestimate the deviousness of the fucks: the Indian-infested faceless evil giant IT corporation where I work now posts these jobs on paper in cafeteria where you can't get w/o a badge. So the requirement to post it is fulfilled but the chance of outsiders applying to them is miniscule.

That is illegal. Hardcopy postings must be put up at two conspicuous locations at the place of employment for ten days. A restricted area is not "conspicuous," but I suppose in this case someone must sue or call in a Labor Department inspector.

And how will said inspector get inside without alerting the fuckers and being delayed at the entrance until they remove the postings from the cafeteria?

There's gonna be massive collusion between the parties employing H1B's to arrive at the same gross pay for the Slaves because of the new regulation making H1B availability based on the wages offered and not by random drawing.

Apparently there are certain employers obligated to publish jobs first to Americans and are angry Americans are applying in the hundreds. If they reject them all to get a Work Visa for a Foreigner, they'll get flagged by Trump's Dept of Labor.

The legal test is if Americans apply, whether they get accepted or not doesn't matter.

Interesting! Reddit, but Read:

It's easy to tell who the entitled foreign workers and HR people are.

VERY Upset that companies would rather remove the PERM Job (that cousin Rajesh promised would go to them) than comply.

When I was a wee programmer starting out at Motorola in Chicagoland, I saw a jobs board in the office and asked to apply to one of the jobs. This was about 1994.

I was told the jobs were already assigned to certain people, but for legal reasons they had to post each job as if it were still open. Not sure what the legal reason was back then.

Two concepts are different h1b vs moving factory to another country. Lot so us here are in IT so only care for that, but since 1990 tons of factories moved to China n Mexico under Clinton. That's real wealth n capability. Usa looses wealth.

H1b is where production stays here in usa but people are imported to fill those positions. Biggest benefit most of those h1b work here, buy house ,here pay taxes here so almost all of wealth stays in usa.

During peak IT needs this made sense, but now with AI n not enough jobs do not need to bring more it related people here. Usa needs to improve education so it's cheaper n better. They stop h1b for IT.

True. That will be a tall order bringing back standards in both students and teachers and removing the entrenched "equity" and "woke."

Grok called it “rumors.” Others said “rare.”

But Walmart just fired a VP for kickbacks and terminated 1,200 contractors (CTOL Digital, 2025).

This doesn’t answer some questions about how the system works, it answers many. Shareholders were kept in the dark. Executives were on the take.

And what if this isn’t the exception at all... what if this is the model?

• What if the majority of H-1B contracting runs on kickbacks and insider deals?
• What if every “cost savings” pitch was just money shifted from shareholders to middlemen?
• What if the corruption is the system?

Here’s why this is just the beginning: USCIS has now launched a whistleblower program for H-1B fraud (U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, 2024). For the first time, insiders can report the schemes that everyone claimed “don’t exist.” VISA workers stuck in a corrupt system have recourse and this could dismantle the entire system..

If Walmart is the first domino to fall, how many more are lined up behind it?

For decades, India gets blackmailed to buy oil by hostile governments including previous Indian communist regimes with lots of restrictions and higher prices!
Russia is a proven mutually trusted partner for long time. Trump had dinner with Porkistan military puppet in WH who gave a threat to India right after the dinner!
This can be a sign of a US low to higher level proxy war on India.
