Eh, I don't know the FL highway network well, but illegals find ways to avoid weight stations is my guess anyway. It will mostly be landscapers and they know which way to avoid them. There's probably a mapping app for it already.
I know there are pop up weigh stations here in IL. So I'm sure FL does the same. My buddy just got caught being over weight with his landscape truck and trailer. He's white though. I don't think his guys are legal though. I warned him to tread lightly or you don't have workers. He was defiant they were legal. I didn't buy it.
Also factor in shady cops. Illegals most likely have cash on them. $100 and I'll let you go. Seems like a good idea on paper, but not sure they'll catch a ton of illegals. The cops are at no risk of taking bribes as the illegal ones won't press charges or want to get deported. You catch 10 per day at $100 a pop cash, that's good money with no risk for the most part.
WINNING! The entire state of Florida will now be using truck weigh stations as immigration checkpoints!
This is HUGE and will protect Americans from foreingers who can't read or understand English!
This is LONG OVERDUE and EVERY state should do it!

Right on, DeSantis! We can just do things.
