I bought some shares of QUBT just on a lark. They don't make a profit yet and I have no great reason to believe that their quantum computing technology is better than anyone else's, but I thought it would be fun to have some skin in the game and watch the daily swings for entertainment.

One reason I bought it: Cramer doesn't like it, and Cramer is always wrong.

I’m also concerned about a company called Quantum Computing, $2.4 billion, with $400,000 in revenues in the last 12 months and again, very big losses.

Another reason: When I worked at Schwab, I learned that analyst recommendations are just like Cramer. When analysts have a "strong buy" on a stock, that is the best predictor of future drops. The second worst you can do is "strong sell", but analysts almost never give that rating because a company they rate "strong sell" will never talk to them again.

The best you can do, on average, is to buy stocks which are either rated "hold" or not rated at all. QUBT is rated "hold":

With shares outperforming recently but still below the average analyst target, QUBT has a Zacks Rank #3 (Hold), suggesting investors maintain positions while awaiting clearer visibility on revenues and profitability.

Anyway, if quantum computing really works, it's going to blow all other kinds of chips out of the water.

Yes, I followed Schwab's "A" rating on Playtika and regret it.

Playtika

The company was founded in 2010 by Robert Antokol and Uri Shahak (son of former Chief of Staff of the Israel Defense Forces and Israeli Minister Amnon Lipkin-Shahak). In May 2011, the company was bought by Caesars Entertainment Corporation.

Personally, I avoid any company based in Israel or that has any connection to the gambling industry. Israelis have vast experience in running scams, and the gambling industry is literally institutionalized scamming.

Also, I'd avoid anything based in Boca Raton or Salt Lake City.

And I thought a Quantum Photonic Vibrometer was a sex toy.

It does seem an interesting play with lots of bounce. $12.72 looks like a nice entry point. 23% short interest. Stock has risen 6.3% since smart consensus sell rating , lol. As far as Playtika and the comment on Israeli stocks…I have found them to be highly profitable to my portfolio. But that’s just me.

Playtika? I’d just like to find a company that makes awesome games for my Apple Vision Pro that sits in the corner gathering dust.

I actually did make money on a stock based in Israel, SodaStream. I didn't realize it was Israeli when I bought it.

It was ultimately bought by Pepsi.

It's not a political boycott by me. I've also read people complaining about Greek-owned companies, especially shipping, because the investors always seem to get screwed.

Woot, doing well today:

I bought at the vertical line on May 6th. Didn't buy much, but it's still a fun game.

Quantum Computing is soaring today in response to news that the U.S. Air Force is aiming to increase research in the quantum computing space and a report suggesting that the Trump administration could soon issue an executive order to accelerate the development of quantum technologies.

...that includes cracking the encryption on Shitcoin. But the Shitcoin fluffers don't like hearing that.

QUBT way up again today:

They don't make a profit, so don't blame me if you buy and they plummet. But I'm not going to sell. It's great entertainment.

There’s almost no air, water, or electromagnetic noise, so quantum states stay stable longer

Lots of cosmic rays, though.

That, and the full blast of the solar wind. That's why the moon's upper regolith is saturated with helim-3.
