A 22-year-old Chinese student studying in France, Zhang Yadi (Tara), returned to Changsha to visit her family on July 5 and then traveled to Yunnan for a pilgrimage. She lost contact with the outside world on July 30 while in Shangri-La, Yunnan.
According to a statement released on the 20th by the “Mandarin Youth for Tibet Association,” she has been criminally detained by the Changsha Municipal State Security Bureau in Hunan Province on suspicion of “inciting separatism.” She is currently being held at the detention center of the Changsha State Security Bureau.

一名22岁的中国留法学生张雅笛（Tara），7月5日返回长沙探亲并至云南朝山，7月30日在云南香格里拉与外界失联。根据“华语青年挺藏会”20日发布的消息，她已被湖南省长沙市国家安全局以涉嫌“煽动分裂国家罪”刑事拘留，目前关押在长沙市国家安全局看守所。
