I spoke with an older Iranian guy today who had to flee when the current regime came into power. Of course he hopes for the downfall of the Islamic government of Iran, but he says he thinks they won't really execute the 15,000 protesters they have rounded up and condemned to death, but only a few of them to scare the others.

When I see protests and uprisings against the ccp in chyna and hong kong, I cant help but think the us govt may be behind it, stoking tensions and nudging people in the desired direction. We know theyre good at it. Makes me oddly proud and disgusted at the same time.
