November 13 this year marks the tenth anniversary of the Paris terrorist attacks, and people across France are commemorating the victims. The series of attacks that took place on November 13, 2015 resulted in 130 deaths and hundreds of injuries.

On the evening of November 12 local time, the Eiffel Tower was illuminated in the red, white, and blue colors of France to mark the tenth anniversary of the attacks, to honor the victims, and to express the solidarity of the French people.

In front of the memorial set up for the victims at one of the attack sites—the Bataclan theatre and its surrounding area—people laid flowers and other items in remembrance. Of the 130 victims of the attacks, 90 died at the Bataclan. The remembrance area established by Paris authorities at Place de la République was also filled with flowers and other tributes.

Official commemorative events will be held on November 13 local time, with French President Emmanuel Macron, Paris Mayor Anne Hidalgo, and other officials expected to attend. Memorial ceremonies will take place at several locations, including the Bataclan theatre.
