ALL YOU CAN EAT

After watching numerous videos about how people abuse the all you can eat restaurants, I was thinking why doesn't someone open a buffet style restaurant where you pay first a fixed amount per plate maybe $8.99 and they serve you and LIMIT THE EXPENSIVE STUFF LIKE MAX 5 PIECES OF FRIED CHICKEN, 1/2 LB OF BEEF, 10 SHRIMP, 1 DESSERT..ETC. Lots of people don't eat like gluttons and it would eliminate a lot of problems like wasing/stealing food.....like people eating for 4 hrs /12 plates....etc......1 plate of food....If they want to take it home, no problem....

It reminds me of the time I was on a cruise and 2 tables down and across the isle sat a man in his 30’s and his mother. There were both morbidly obese. I overheard a conversation with their waiter where the man said “my mother and I are very particular and we really love our food, so please keep it coming, and we will reward you handsomely at the end of the cruise.“ After the final meal, I said to the waiter, “so were you rewarded handsomely for your efforts with those two?“. The answer was “they didn’t leave me a tip“. In my mind, obesity is a lack of respect for the self and anyone else.

That's why I love cruising. People watching, especially at sea days. I don't think people truly realize how dysfunctional our society is, for the most part. You can tell who the functional people are on a cruise right away.

I'm up early to go for my walk, screw running or gyms. Of course it's with a mimosa. Walk a loop 10 times or so on the top deck and see the same people. None of them are fat. I then go back to the buffet bar for round two of the walk and the whales rolled out of bed, listing the ship to the side in the process and storm the buffet. It's sick. Grab my banana and do another 10 laps usually totaling 2-3 miles, ship size dependent.

Been on cruises with friends. Then I find out they're that type and I've wondered why they gained so much weight. 2-3 entrees at dinner and constantly at the buffet, pizza place, burger place, etc. Cruises do portion sizes perfectly, just not if you're a fat ass so you order the entire menu. I've heard they're cracking down on the practice and charging extra for additional entrees.

I'm not some starving children type liberal, but this is 100% true. There are people in the world that starve. Fast for a week and see how it is. I don't think people realize how little food they need to survive just fine. You need water first and then basic nutrition. If you ever order dessert you should know you have a problem. Having cake at a wedding or birthday is fine, but if you're out on a normal Saturday night that's a problem.

Makes sense. Would make the business more profitable. Most buffet places open for 3-5 years and close. It's like furniture stores. Love or hate them and outside of high end luxury stores, Ikea is the only one that stands at the end of the day furniture wise. I don't know what all you can eat buffet place has lasted long. You have to have slave wages which is why cruises and all inclusives can do it.

There's a pricey Hot Pot near me. It's all you can eat.
There is a 45 minute time limit, and they charge for any food you don't finish.

The only thing I don't like about the time limit, is it takes at least 15 minutes for the Korean grill plate to get hot enough to sear the meat. Otherwise if you start to early and the grill plate isn't hot enough, the juices run out of the meat and steams it its juices. Further hindering it from warming up.

I remember when Sweet Tomatoes was still around. The moo cows would grab the soup crock for their soft serve ice cream.
Then most everyone would do the same. So Sweet Tomatoes changed their soup crock to be less than 1 cup.

I still don't understand the obsession with watching and complaining about fat people.
What about ugly people, they are unsightly too? If I don't like people's looks, I just don't look at them.

What about obese people who lost weight or had weight reduction surgery, and now they have those huge flabby skin folds on their arms and belly.

Are they nicer to look at than when they were fat? In my experience NO. They creep me out.

Because no one is born 300 lb overweight, you know that. People complain about self inflicted bad choices, not unfortunate birth circumstances of deformity.

I don't understand why they don't have it trimmed off to make their own custom lamp shades.

They are not Jewish. Besides, more practical to tuck and stitch the excess skin into pockets.

Hey, I'm sure any kind of skin works fine.
