In October, Braden Langwith, a soccer player at Liberty High School in the St. Louis area, was in the middle of a normal high school game when everything changed. Braden, who has always loved the sport and been an active part of his school team, suddenly collapsed on the field and wasn’t breathing.

Rory Shortall, from Ballindaggin, passed away unexpectedly at Wexford General Hospital on January 7.
Rory was a hugely talented athlete who made his mark across multiple sports. He played hurling with Duffry Rovers GAA, with the club paying tribute to the tragic youngster in a message shared on social media.
He was also a talented soccer player, lining out for Castledockrell United AFC. In a mark of respect, the club announced that all games will be postponed this weekend.
