Either he knew and chose to do nothing, or he didn't know because he couldn't be bothered to do his job.

He didn't know because it was such bullshit, the Intel Agencies didn't tell him.

If the President was briefed on every piece of intelligence, he wouldn't be able to do anything. In fact, it would be impossible even if he never slept to hear all of it.

Actually, McEnany was right when she called for NYT Pulitzers to be withdrawn over their "Russian Collusion" type stories.

I like this idea. When we re-erect the monuments that were torn down, we should throw in one like this- depicting similar American events, to go alongside it.

While I realize this is humor, from all reports it is accurate. Trump doesn't read. That is simply fact. It is said that his briefings had to be short and that it helped if visual aids were used to make the point.

Its also true that he has no interest in doing the, "nuts and bolts" of the job he was elected to do. We all know what his interests are; money, golf and adulation and in the past
(maybe still) women. So let's not try to make him out to be something he isn't.

Did he know or didn't he know is kind of irrelevant, he simply isn't interested in such matters.

I believe Obama missed over 50% of his PDB's while Russia was invading Eastern Europe, ISIS was creating the Caliphate and blowing shit up in Europe and North America.

I think the Democrat metrosexuals might want to sit this one out - pretending that you are all butch against Putin and Commies.

You ought to know better. Russia won WWII, not only on the Eastern from by the Western Front. They were already doing Island hoping by the time the US dropped the nuclear weapons of biological tests - and that's what they were.

Japan was desperate to surrender by the US refused unless it was completely without condition. The Japanese didn't want their royalty executed so they held off - finally the US agreed to surrender and not to execute Hirohito.

There are no heroes at all in war, that's just propaganda.

The US' entry into WWII was pretty much worthless. It was more to prevent the Soviets from taking over all of Europe than to stop the Nazis. The US wouldn't even had an issue with Japan if they didn't impose an oil embargo on Japan.

Eric Holder says

Oh, it was always Stalin's plan to betray Hitler.

His plan was to have Europe decimated, then once the war had finished, take over all of Europe - which basically he did.

The United States saved it with the Marshall plan and containment of the USSR.

Lots of interesting stuff showed up at the old KGB offices on December 26, 1991.

Eric Holder says
Go take your cheap Russian propaganda somewhere else.

I don't engage in propaganda.

It's so fucking frustrating. My generation SPECIFICALLY made the Internet to free all the ingrates of their particular propaganda, which is entirely pervasive and exists in EVERY SINGLE NATION. Our press is WORSE than Izvestia or Pravda was in 1985 and it's been this way for decades, not just in the last 4 years.

You have to recall that the Russian Soviet revolution was done by western oligarchs to enslave the population. They're trying to do it here, and they're still pissed off they lost Russia. Stalin was nothing more than an agent of the Western banking sector.

These assholes just bankrupted the Western banking sector. We are not in lockdown for our protection. They couldn't give less of a fuck about how many people die, which is why over 1/2 dozen democratic governors were putting Covid-19 positive patients in nursing homes.

You've been warned for at least 20 years about the inevitable western banking collapse. I have absolutely NO SYMPATHY for anybody that wasn't prepared for it. You get to enjoy Depression 2.0.

I realized the Dems have no actual program.

They are not pushing FOR anything. They are simply against White, Middle Class people and pretty much everything here to fore.

They want to radically alter policing, tax the fuck out of regular people with carbon taxes, abort babies, ban guns, and let China take advantage of us.

They have literally nothing to offer a White, Working or Middle Class person/family, not in a government job.

Every thing else, from Russia to Racism, is a big distraction.

It's not like they wanna raise taxes on the rich and build a shitload of new roads or something.

The only thing they want to do is continue impeded on the current trajectory of radical outsourcing, insourcing, foreign meddling, mass immigration, and a borderless world governed by politicians who are stand ins for multinational corporations who virtue signal against ordinary Americans.

The Russian bounty report was meant to make Trump look bad. Also it is to distract from the Chicoms and Biden's connections to them.

This type of false flag intel report by the Deep State is done by the likes of career bureaucrats like E R I C - A N T H O N Y - C I A R A M E L L A.

The deep state are ideological partners with the Chicoms. That is why the Chicom's candidate for US President is Hunter Biden's dad.

Who cares what career bureaucrats, who either intend to be revolving door corporate-government actors as foreign/multinational corp agents inside the system think?

Fact is Trump inflicted the worst one-day defeat on Russian forces since WW2 in Syria. All is quiet in the Donbass, ISIS was eliminated, talks with North Korea, and the Chinese have been knocked down a peg - much to the distaste of "Do no evil" Google and especially Amazon.

Some asshole with a Georgetown IR degree, dime a dozen in DC, all trained in the same way with the same outlook that got us the whole post-Cold War period in one useless wasteful mess after another. They're the last people who should be consulted. In fact, with their record of failure, they should be replaced by a half-way intelligent person who has read the Pelopennesian War and maybe The Histories

And this just makes Bolton look foolish....
When a major explosion lit the skies on the edge of Tehran last week, the Iranian government was quick to dismiss the episode as a gas explosion at the Parchin military base, which was once the focus of international nuclear inspectors.
It turned out that was false: Satellite photographs show the explosion happened at a missile production facility not far from Parchin, a base laced with underground tunnels and long suspected to be a major site for Iran’s growing arsenal.

Wonder if the centrifuges had any issues...

Who got fucked coming out of 2008, renters and cash holders. Whose gonna get fucked this time or the next time, renters and cash holders. Why? Because the Fed, MMT and politicians know only one thing INFLATION.

Housing is just another asset like gold, bitcoin, etc. that acts as an inflation hedge. Housing is very local and you need to know what you're doing, but if you think the Fed is going to double or triple the debt and assets are going to go down then your not playing the game right.

And if your betting on the whole "50% crash, then I'll buy", good luck, I'm sure you have been waiting for 15 years and are probably just risk adverse and will never buy.

Just to expand on inflation, I was watching the 1991 film Point Break last night and in the movie before the last bank robbery, Utah was ordering food for him and his partner, 2 meatball sandwiches, 1 tuna sandwich and 2 lemonades, $7.30.... That's one coffee these days. Just like grandma said bread was $.05, in...

Very good reminder. You have to be invested otherwise inflation is your financial Chinese water torture.

Lee should have listened to Longstreet who better understood tactics given the technology of the time. Longstreet wanted to get between the AOP and Washington and force the Union to attack the Confederates on good defensive terrain. Lee didn't have a stonewall Jackson to save his sorry ass this time around.

How drunk did those guys have to be to advance on defensive positions in a huge mass of bodies?

As wide (and swollen) as the Potomac was at the time, a battle in someplace like Montgomery county MD would have had Lee's back against a river that he could not escape across easily. He had trouble enough crossing it near Hagerstown where it is easier to cross. Are you suggesting something different?

BTW, I have been to a lot of these places, like Gettysburg, I recommend visiting, but would wait until the Visitors Center reopens.

Imagine wearing the uniform of the United States military, and learning that Russia is paying bounties to Afghan soldiers to kill you. Then you hear that your commander-in-chief has not only known about this for months and not only done nothing, but has actively courted the Russian president.

And? Jealousy is a nasty trait. Most people that have it want to harm the person, thing or country they're jealous of. Guess what... a lot of people are jealous of the US and most men and women in uniform completely understand this. Even in allied countries you have to watch your back.

Whether Trump knew about it or not is a moot point. It was going on during Bush and Obama eras as well. WTF are you supposed to do about it? Lob nukes at Russia? Bomb them? (Trump did FYI) What would be your solution? Everyone is free to their opinion, but it has to be somewhat logical. What could have Trump done differently in your world? Serious question.

thomasdong1776 says
but has actively courted the Russian president.

You're taking the bait man. You have to understand diplomatic relations. We're better off having a solid relationship with Russia. Putin knows it too. Even allies are theoretically economic adversaries at minimum. There's always going to be animosity in any relationship. How you manage that is important. Besides nukes, Russia has zero leverage. War in the middle east causes more harm to both countries. Being unified in decision making helps both.

Come up with an idea. I'm all ears. Methinks you just want to complain about Trump though. Which you're entitled to do.

Yes, we are much worse off than before Trump took the reins from Obama on National Security and Foreign affairs.
1. USMCA just started today: Win.
2. No more war in the Middle East: No more body bags of dead US soldiers coming home to families: Win.
3. Trade with China: more in our favor, companies re-shoring daily, decoupling with China on other fronts: Win.
4. N. Korea: no more appeasement. Win.

And yet, we are in mortal danger from a bat-shit crazy president. How?

All this from a book by a disgruntled, fired employee, all hearsay, no corroboration from anyone else in the room.

The housing market has bounced back from the initial pandemic shutdown in a huge way.

On Monday, data on pending home sales in May showed a record increase in the number of signed contracts for home purchases. Pending home sales rose 44.3% in May, the biggest monthly jump in the series which dates back to 2001. Pending home sales, however, are still down more than 10% from where they stood in February.

Ian Shepherdson, chief economist at Pantheon Macroeconomics, said in a note Monday that this data shows the housing markets is “well on the way to full recovery, unlike the rest of the economy.”
