do you just take WaPo's word for everything?
Is there an inaccurate quote by Washington Post?

What is wrong.

My mind is still reeling after watching the rabid attacks on both of those shows on Fox, yet to hear them, and Trump, they are the ones that are being attacked!

I ordered food from a small place struggling to get though the shutdown here in Sunnyvale, California.

The Indian owner of the food place was playing Trump's speech as he was making it.

That wasn't only an act of bravery on his part, but it also tells you how much small business is pissed off with the local establishment government. People have no idea how pissed off small business owners are fucking enraged by the local governments here, and they are all democrats.

My meal was $10 - I tipped him $7.

I doubt they even cared about even the tiny shreds of plausible deniability with Epstein. It was more like "We'll do whatever we fucking like, and if you don't like it, Fuck You because you are powerless against us!" It was pure, blatant, unvarnished, overt psychopathy of the Deep State, no more hand shadow puppets.

One works hard to put things "right" as they see them. After achieving that goal, should what is desired now be changed for the sake of change? How long do you get to enjoy something before it must be changed?

What large scale changes have been positive in the last 30, 40, 50 years? I can't come up with too many. The Internet allowing people to communicate and bypass censorship and media/political gatekeepers is one, although that has a significant downside with social media consuming people's lives and detaching people from the human element.

Look back over human history. In what period have things changed as much as they have in the last 100 years? I'd argue we've had more change in the past century than in the past 1000 years combined. Resisting some change right now should not be equated with a clinical phobia.

It's time to slow down and absorb it.
112346   Karloff   2020 Jul 4, 4:33am

If things are always changing, perhaps that needs to change. A period of stability after a century of churn is itself a change. A needed one.
112347   Karloff   2020 Jul 4, 7:33am

As long as they are able to distinguish between things that aren't right vs what they are being told aren't right.

If your changes require taking away rights, freedoms, or the proceeds of labor from others, you're almost assuredly going down the wrong road.

People like positive change (job promotion, new baby, etc) and dislike negative change (your history is racist and should be destroyed, and you as well).

Not difficult and not pathological in the least.
112350   Ceffer   2020 Jul 4, 9:24am

Bannon's comment taken out of context again. He said the Deep State is no longer deep, but a Shallow State that can be discerned. "It's right in your face." It's a matter of distinction, not substance. I guess we can call it the 'Shallow State' now since they behave with impunity and arrogance.
112353   mell   2020 Jul 6, 6:29am

It depends - if Sars cov 2 is airborne this may hold somewhat true. But then masks below n95 accomplish nothing and even n95 are only moderately protective. If it's spread via droplets only as the WHO currently maintains then Berman is the usual CNN fake news idiot.

What is your point in bringing up transgressions from 1868?

FYI: This is my tribe. I am a member of the Rosebud Lakota nation. The Lakota grievances go back to before Lincoln.

WTF does any of this have to do w Trump?

So Barak Obama and Bernie Sanders shouldn't have visited it and said nice things about it?

Fascinating how CNN called Mount Rushmore "majestic" and "quite a sight" in 2008 when Obama visited, but now its a symbol of slavery and stolen landhttps://t.co/3sV1ZEfW9L https://t.co/GTIH9tzOim pic.twitter.com/5Vu6uQp4XS

since the land is tribal territory.

Who the fuck cares? Society evolves. Let's get stuck in the past though 🙄. Native Americans "own" all the land theoretically with what you're spewing. Let's just give it back. See how that works out. You ever been on a reservation? Predominately Indian towns in Canada? There's a reason they didn't do anything with North America. You'll eventually learn that.
112362   MisdemeanorRebel   2020 Jul 6, 3:11pm

The last freakin' things the Indians would do if they got it back would get rid of Mount Rushmore.

They'd build a casino, gas station, and state tax free shop on the way to it, along with a $10 toll road.
112363   Al_Sharpton_for_President   2020 Jul 6, 3:21pm

All of the Indian tribes stole land from each other and exhibited horrid torture and murder to rival tribes. Their technology was inferior to the Europeans, and they got pushed aside. And that is the lesson - advance or fall into the waste bin of history.

I'm trying to think of a time that ever happened. More likely: some non-"native" person would build a casino and the "natives" would just syphon off a portion of the profits. The ultimate in economic rent.

nothing wrong with any of that! If palefaces are stupid enough to give their excess earnings to Indian casinos, more power to Indians. .

No cowbells! "Don't Fear the Reaper" makes BOC a one hit wonder, as it's the only song known to mainstream classic rockers.

BOC is a full underground act with a complete career, from "Last Days of May" in their debut, through the wonders in 'Secret Treaties' (not just "Astronomy"), to everything else past 'Fire Of An Unknown Origin', through 'Imaginos', and beyond.

This was the band! No cowbells can match their true accomplishments.

I’m making that demand on YOU.

I think all of these were broken by US Govt:
https://avalon.law.yale.edu/subject_menus/ntreaty.asp

The only treaty between Indians and settlers not broken was between Comanche and German immigrants at Fredericksburg:
https://www.texascooppower.com/texas-stories/history/the-unbroken-peace-treaty

The question is what to do? Return all lands to Indians? That would be fair, but somewhat impractical.

Here are all the songs on that album:

Career of Evil
Subhuman
Dominance & Submission
ME 262

Cagey Cretins
Harvester of Eyes
Flaming Telepaths
Astronomy (Metallica covered this in the late 90s)

The only weak song on 'Secret Treaties' was "Cagey Cretins", which wasn't even bad, it just didn't compare with the others.
