Expanded affordable coverage for the poor (causing prevention related efficiencies) and coverage for those with preexisting conditions are the two biggest positives of the ACA. Way less people end up waiting until they are in critical condition and showing up at the emergency room with advanced disease.

Secondary is kids being on parents plans until what ? 25, or 26.

Biggest negatives are that insurance companies and the profit motive are still too much involved in channeling what people pay for health care towards providers. Obama correctly calculated that it wasn't yet the time to go for a more complete solution.

The obvious forces acting as obstacles to reform are those who don't believe that the poor should get the same quality of health care as the rich. I'm not even weighing in on that - but it's so obviously the big philosophical obstacle. (In this case rich would include those working people with quality health insurance).

Big questions exist: what quality of health care could reasonably be delivered to everyone ? And what changes have to occur in our health care and possibly even economic models before everyone could get good high quality health care ? Who pays for it, and how ? Does everyone deserve it ? We are told everyone deserves to be born.

Who pays for the quality health care provided to those who are disabled, those who don't work or can't work ?

There are a lot of reasons why this can't shift in a huge way all at once. It's not Obama's fault. He took as much of a step as he thought he could. This is how progress occurs, one step at a time.

The other thing you should notice is that Johnsons numbers are also taking a dump. Even 3% for him seems kind a little high. Those people are also switching to Trump.

Let me simplify it for everyone.

Anybody who says anything bad about Hillary = KGB/Putin/Vast Right Wing Conspiracy/Sexist/Misogynist

Anonymous 'former intel' people and IT guys identified by internet nicknames only = invaluable, unimpeachable, rock solid sources that must be taken utterly seriously.

The reason that Trump is trying so hard to lose this election is that he knows that the CIA is on to this blackmail, and it is going to assinate Trump for the good of the country if elected.

Fuckface Ballmer is a billionaire because he kept hookers in Bay Village from beating up Bill Gates when they were loser undergrads at Harvard who couldn't get sucked off by Radcliffe chicks like normal guys in their class. Daddy Gates appreciated Steve's menacing size and the utility it had in scaring away vicious prostitutes and their marauding pimps who would harm their darling Billy.

This is copy-pasted from Gates' autobiography. Shameless plagiarism.

It's easy enough to not take Nexium or Januvia and use OTC stuff from WalMart instead. I even get my cat's insulin (Humilin N) at the WalMart pharmacy without a prescription, and it's only $25 and unlike the stuff made specifically for cats (ProZinc, which is $130) the Humilin N doesn't lose it's effectiveness so quickly after first using the bottle.

I wish you had less to be sorry for. Wanting to win doesn't justify every lie and hypocrisy. Every day brings you an opportunity for you to join reality where truth can be found, it's not so hard.

And he didn't even try if you listen to talk radio and Fox, but in the real world there are many real accomplishments by just one democrat and don't ever forget that Bill Clinton had us FREE OF DEBT!

Ah, whatever.

76426   MisdemeanorRebel   2016 Nov 1, 4:27pm

The fact is Comey is looking at the unredacted, unexpurgiated shit that was on Weiner's machine right now. They are running algos connecting strands between the various emails.

This stuff is such dynamite that there's no chance Hillary can be saved if just a snippet of it came out. She is just hoping at this point to have some long shot of surviving long enough to kill the investigation by squeaking by the election and having enough democratic wins to split Congress for breathing room.

I almost guarantee you there is unbelievable stuff in there. The trial may have to be the most secretive in US History because of the atomic-grade bombshells in there.

My belief is that Wikileaks has a little piece of the 33,000 deleted emails but it saving it for last because it contains world-destabiliing information.

The thing is Hillary knows it would be terrible if it got out, but she still won't stand aside and save the country and the world all the problems, because Goddammit this is her turn. She'll fix it when she gets in!

76427   Tenpoundbass   2016 Nov 1, 4:54pm

Hillary is so damned inept at people it's laughable. She matters to a Columbian audience. That may sound cold but Latin American people are more openly prejudice twoard each other, and have more social issues between the groups, than Ameircan Whites and Blacks have. She figures Florida Cuban, Machado Latina must be the same thing. She only got 7500 to show up for Jennifer Lopez. Now that's a woman that has been vicimized by men. Marc Anothony knocked the shit out of her a few times. Why didn't Hillary get Machado to turn her back to the crowd and twerk her butt to the crowd?

Wow--you've gone full Breitbart on us now. You sound more and more like bass every day.

76430   MisdemeanorRebel   2016 Nov 1, 5:31pm

If Hillary gets elected she probably won't last the first year of her first term. She's slither and sneak for months, putting the country through the most destabilizing, difficult investigation and impeachment in US History - one that will drag out much further than it should b/c the Establishment Media will cover for her until the very end.

I wouldn't put it past her to start a war to distract from her problems, which are just beginning.

If we were in the Cold War, there would be elder statesmen telling her to drop out, and if she didn't, they'd get bipartisan support to remove all her endorsements.

The election of the most corrupt, most secretive, most self-serving individuals in US History will have a tremendous impact on the future of this nation.

76431   MisdemeanorRebel   2016 Nov 1, 5:34pm

Folks, Comey is signaling all he can to those who would see without flat out saying it.

WASHINGTON: The FBI has unexpectedly released documents concerning ex-president Bill Clinton's pardon of the husband of a wealthy Democratic donor, in a surprise move just days before the election in which his wife is seeking to become America's first female president.

The release of the heavily redacted 129-page report over the pardon of trader Marc Rich - an investigation that closed in 2005 without charges - triggered questions from Democrats already angered by the FBI's probe into hundreds of thousands of newly uncovered emails possibly linked to Hillary Clinton.

While the Rich documents were published online on Monday, they received little notice until they were posted on Tuesday on a Twitter account for the Federal Bureau of Investigation's division managing Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests that had had no posts since a year ago, except for a small handful released simultaneously on Sunday.

"Absent a FOIA litigation deadline, this is odd," asked Hillary Clinton spokesman Brian Fallon.

"Will FBI be posting docs on Trump's housing discrimination in '70s?" he added, referring to Clinton's Republican rival Donald Trump, a billionaire real estate magnate.

The FBI said the documents were posted shortly after they were processed, as with FOIA materials requested three or more times.

IF I ever started to contemplate voting for Trump, this kind of dishonest BS would turn me around quick. If there has to be that much dishonesty in the anti-Clinton pitch, she must be the better candidate.

No Regrets: You only see each day once.

A nice sentiment, but not actually good advice. If you decide to avoid anything you might regret, then you never take risks that can pay off tremendously. That leads to a wasted life. If you decide to completely ignore regrets, then you don't learn from your mistakes. And that leads to future mistakes. Regrets, as regrettable as they may be, serve a purpose. Don't linger on them, but do acknowledge them. Accept that you'll stack up a few, both regrets for the things you did and for the things you didn't, and go down a different path in life when the one you are on is accumulating regrets. Regrets are sign posts indicating that you should take a detour.
