How many of those people participating in the poll are their actual constituents?

Nothing says scientific than a Twitter poll.

But Lew did not have just any position at the bank.
...
Details about Lew’s exact responsibilities at Citigroup, where he worked from 2006 to 2008, are scant. He declined to comment for this article.
Lew’s first job at the bank was chief operating officer of Citigroup’s wealth management unit, which flourished under his watch.
By the fall of 2007, the wealth management group handled $1.8 billion in client assets, up 34 percent from the year before, according to financial statements. More than 15,000 financial advisers and bankers worked under Lew.
In January 2008, he switched to Citigroup’s alternative investments unit. A press release announcing his new position as chief operating officer of the group said he would “oversee coordination between the operations, technology, human resources, legal, financial and regional departments.”
...
Sanders said in a statement Wednesday that although he applauds Lew’s public service, he worries about the number of economic advisers in the White House who have spent time on Wall Street. Michael Froman, deputy national security adviser for international economic affairs, also came from Citigroup’s hedge fund and private equity shop, known as the alternative investments unit.
“In my view, we need a treasury secretary who is prepared to stand up to corporate America and their powerful lobbyists and fight for policies that protect the working families in our country,”

It's to reassure Israel, an ally for decades and whose creation we voted for, after Obama's mandate-less, sudden, etc. etc. etc. bizarre deed a few days ago.

Sweet!

I'm sure Deb N. really voted for Trump. Trump is doing exactly what the label on the bottle said Trump will do under these circum stances. He's tough on baked in shit.
And his non stick surface gets everything nice and clean.

78826   freespeechforever   2017 Jan 5, 7:42pm

I GUARANTEE that Trump voters will turn on Trump - rightfully so based on Trump OVER-FILLING THE SWAMP ALREADY - faster than any group of voters for a POTUS in U.S. History.

Because Trump REALLY IS A LYING, CHEATING, NO-GOOD, DIRTY ROTTEN PIECE OF SHIT HYPOCRITE.

78827   MisdemeanorRebel   2017 Jan 5, 7:59pm

Wait, I thought Trump was gonna start WW3 when he announced he was going to modernize the Nuke Force?

They should really try focus group stuff before they jump from one narrative to a contrary narrative.

Is Trump General Ripper or one of the Cambridge Spies? Legacy Oligarch media needs to make up it's mind.

If he fucks up, that'd be great if they turned on him.

Obama totally failed to reform banking, be transparent, get us out of Iraq and Afghanistan, put a stop to 4th Amendment busting mass surveillance, told them they could keep your doctor, that premiums would go down, and wind down middle east intervention. His supporters stayed with him.

78829   anonymous   2017 Jan 5, 8:07pm

The intelligence community has been routinely lying to Americans for decades. Snowden's leak made it very obvious, and irrefutable. How can you possibly be surprised that Americans are skeptical of what they say?
To blindly believe in the alphabet soup's decrees at this point would be like investing in a new hedge fund administered by Bernie Madoff.

78844   Tenpoundbass   2017 Jan 6, 7:01am

If it does not have the confidence of America, America cannot lead the world. I guess, Trumpites are OK with that, and he is the President.

Maybe Trumpies use their brains in life instea dof blidnly following what the left says -like braindead zombies?

Iraq had WMD "intellegince" lead to the war in iraq and 1,000s of young American dead. ISIS is junior varsity-that is intelligence too.

Hopefully Trump has the sense to question, challenge and thoroughly analyze the intelligence community and not drag us into another iraq war or beleiev ISIS is junior varsity. Lefties-brain is a beautiful thing to waste.

Paul Ryan accepts that Russians hacked the election

That's not what the article says, not even remotely, nor is it true. Russia did not hack the elections. That's a blatant falsehood. Russia hacked into the DNC campaign servers, copied emails, and then released them to the world. The DNC campaign servers are not the election.

Saying that Russia hacked the elections is like saying someone who plays the stereo in their car loud enough for other drivers to hear has hacked the highway transportation system. It is a ridiculous claim, and those who make it should not be taken seriously.

People aren't asking for free health care. They are asking for affordable healthcare with reasonable costs that won't bankrupt them the first time they get sick. The fact is that capitalism has completely failed to provide decent affordable health care. If capitalism worked for health care, we wouldn't be having this conversation.

78850   joeyjojojunior   2017 Jan 6, 8:20am

Yep--and there are so many other systems out there that we could copy/model our system on. Systems that deliver better healthcare for much, much less money. It shouldn't be this difficult.

Hey - what do you think Trump's son and daughter in law are going to do for privacy in their shack a few blocks away?

Probably the same things that allow Carlos Slim to drive his own car down streets of Mexico City without any kind of security detail; something like aid and abet the russian mob, similarly to how Slim aids and abets the el chapo types in mexico.

And that is the problem with America. The intelligence of a country is its "intelligence". It is what decides the strategy vis-a-vis our enemies. If it does not have the confidence of America, America cannot lead the world. I guess, Trumpites are OK with that, and he is the President. Well it was good till it lasted . They had their chance; GOPe have to maintain their power; if Trump paints them as uncooperative and recalcitrant against bills that the public supports in principle, they will be on hot seat. He can do this all day long and even if nothing gets done, he will use social media to pass any heat on him to others.

You got it.

The Establishment is against the Reformer, shock of shocks. That never happens in World History. He'll likely will fail and bebesmirched in the process. Then the Establishment is really in trouble.

Ryan has been against Trump since day one, his mentor was an Establishment convicted Pedophile named Hastert. When he wasn't structuring payments to get around bank reporting requirements. Trump's real problem is the GOPe: Graham, McCain, McConnell, Ryan, and others hate him, they like it the way it is.

Ego baiting Trump: he can't admit that Russians did the hack. That would force him to admit that the election was rigged and undermine his victory.
