I'm actually wrong, this isn't Fake News so much as Black Propaganda. Put out rumors, encourage the distribution of rumors, preferably while distancing yourself from the rumors your peddle to deligitimize the regime you wish to overthrow. Complete with frequent reference to unnamed sources within ... you guessed it... the intelligence community, whose major responsibilities include destabilization and coups against regimes they don't like.
The Chicken has come home to Roost.
And the Media is willingly participating. This is not surprising: Court historians gonna court historian; disgruntled Nobles gonna grumble and destablize.
"(Notice the lack of conclusion here in CNN's convo wth anonymous 'officials' - ie asscovering. This way CNN can say "Oh, we didn't say the sources told us they were legit or not. Pushing the rumor)."
Nothing in that is even remotely fake. They added to their original story since the cat was out of the bag with Buzzfeed. For god's sake, even Clapper will only say that they are still investigating. What would you have CNN report?
"This is an attempt to legitimize this nonsense, plain and simple."
No, the intelligence services legitimized it by putting it in the briefing. CNN is simply reporting on that fact. If you want to complain that the intelligence services should never have put it in their briefing, that's a legitimate point of view. But calling CNN fake is not.
The left used to project Obama as some grand master chess player-what was that 8th dimensional chess. But no, it is Trump who is the master chess player. The next few years are going to be fun-the lefties are doubling and tripling down and don't even realize they are being played. Couldn't happen to a nicer bunch-this will be fun.
Chavez was a great man.
What good was Chavez? He turned an oil rich country into a starving nation.
What good was Chavez? He turned an oil rich country into a starving nation.
Obama would do the same thing here if we let him.
So you would be OK if someone hacked into IRS and then released Trumps tax returns
I'm against illegal acts.
But politicians don't get to just complain that the world is unfair to them. This is no longer the era of cable news.
They need to adapt.
I'm talking about the BS 35-page word document CNN reported on.
Do you know what CNN reported about it?
Was that the same or different than BuzzFeed?
Did Trump's press circus treat Buzz' and CNN the same, or differently?
Why do you think that is?
If the media is intent on taking down Donald Trump or discrediting him, they shouldn't resort to clinging to fake stories that are so far fetched....they are ridiculous. This is the reason he was elected in the first place. People are sick of the crap from the press and Washington.

The "media" didn't. Buzzfeed, which hardly qualifies, is the only one that printed it.
But, the intelligence community thought enough of the story to include it in their briefing to Trump (and Obama). So, if anyone is to blame, it's them.
It wasn't a hack, it was a leak. Seth Rich was murdered for it.
Just as credible as Pizzagate and Pissgate. The post-fact era is glorious!

First, it's not "the media" ... let's be really clear. Obama and Trump were briefed on intelligence, of which was an unsubstantiated report. That report got leaked (Thanks McCain!) to the press. CNN reported on those happenings. BuzzFeed did that AND published the report itself.
I think Trump has a large volume of enemies on the hill, an antagonistic relationship with the press, FBI, and CIA, as well as a country in which more people voted against him than for.
If you think just the press fired this shot, you are so so wrong.
I think the Trump administration needs to learn that when someone pushes you into a puddle of piss, you don't stomp and splash up and down in it, like an angry 3 year old. That's a lesson, by every indication I see of Trump, that will never be learned.
Comedy gold and people WILL believe it. If the election taught you anything, you should know that. That is probably why Trump is so ... pissed. Hahahaha.
What damn few of you don't understand is how popular this guy is in flyover country especially the swing states. I distinctly remember saying that you're entitled to make fun of the Electoral Holy Trinity if you want but those people pick Presidents and they damn sure picked this one. You're gonna eat this for the next eight years and we're serving it up well done!
Has it occurred to you that the press and the establishment in both parties and about half of goddamn Wall Street threw everything they had at this guy and he still won?
There is nothing Republicans can do about the
ass kicking they are about get.
BOYCOTT ALL Republicans! Why is your wallet looking so thin?
Add any advertiser that runs commercials on WING NUT Media.
What good was Chavez? He turned an oil rich country into a starving nation.
It was not him. It was Dutch disease + sabotage.
Obama throws out reporters:

It's amazing how they step to, isn't it?
Those are the same reporters and the same network that uses a work creepy crawler to get in position under Obama's balls today.

Buzzfeed was the one that started it. More than enough people tried to push it that it was all over everyone's facebook, twitter, and god knows what else by early morning.
Dictatorships and royalty go there, not democracies.
This will be one of the most corrupt democracies of our nation's history. It is an administration which will use the term "Constitution" to score points for its image without actually understanding or defending it. It's built on personal hubris and ego, not bigger American ideals, inspiration, or working to bring out the best in people. It's an administration built on anger, fear, and ignorance.
Someday down the road, those little sparks of antiestablishment and anti-elitist sentiment will be replaced by a very sad realization. The Trumpets will wake to a far worse economy, less civil liberties, and a far worse foreign policy, with allies who no longer look at the US as an example or world leader.
American exceptionalism was dragged by the unwashed masses through the gutter this election cycle. There is nothing to cheer about here.

In a dictatorship you would not even be allowed to voice that opinion. Only time will tell the success Trump achieves in the next 4 years. The fact is, he has mustered up the confidence the country needs, which Obama was never able to do.
Indeed Rew, that is simply your opinion. Most of the rest of us prefer to see how our boy does.
Other example: take European countries like France. This is a country where Reagan's philosophy is universally scorned.
Everything the democrats ever wished to do is there on display. The rich are taxed like 70% of their earnings. Single payer healthcare. High minimum wage. Generous pensions. Minimum revenue for the poor. etc,etc,...
Yet there too, standards of living for the middle class sank, or stagnated at best, for the past 35 yrs.
What happened?
"Buzzfeed was the one that started it. More than enough people tried to push it that it was all over everyone's facebook, twitter, and god knows what else by early morning."
Exactly. People posting jokes on facebook or twitter does not equal "media"
TGIF starting early for you?
This one is not fake. It is a unsubstantiated dossier presented to him by American intelligence
if only the death penalty was as swift as it was during medieval times!
APOCALYPSEFUCK_is_ADORABLE says
Can we do this kind of thing over the internet?
Be great to have Cefer or Boomchakalaka or any of the guys here beaming out at the ISIS fucks and making them nuts.
I would love it.
Lets draw naked pictures of Mohammad getting fucked in the ass on their website.
"We don't need white people running the Democratic Party"
The entire DNC leadership starting with Brazile, every Clinton people, and everyone pushing discriminatory identity politics should be immediately fired if the Democratic party is to regain a bit of credibility.
Writing off white people is stupid.
"their inability to discuss their historic loss of epic proportions is a sign of this."
Huh? You mean the one where they got 3MM more votes? That's an historic loss of epic proportions?
Dems ran a crappy candidate. Let's not try to put too much meaning behind this one.
I was wondering why Obama admin was willing to "Act" outraged so much so to the point that Obama would be actively provoking Putin for his final days in office.
Then Yesterday it dawned on me. Why would Obama end the Wet Foot Dry Foot policy after his Cuban lovefest? Then it dawned on me, Obama is genuinely outraged at Russia. Russia did best Obama, and right smack dab in the middle of the Party Conventions. While Obama was parading around Cuba with is new found Comrades, and being crooned by Jay Z and Beyonce, and the Stones. Russia had them under Digital Surveillance their every move, communication, and meetings were being intercepted and recorded.
To rub salt in the wound, Obama boy comes back and pledges billions of dollars to Cuba's internet infrastructure. Poor poor Cuba they are so far behind, Obama fell right into their low tech high tech honey Trap.
Lawdy! Obama was hoo dood by the Who Do Man in Havana!
Huh? You mean the one where they got 3MM more votes? That's an historic loss of epic proportions?
Hopeless. Really hopeless. The democrtats will just blame Putin, the electoral college and will continue to do what they've been doing. People don't learn.
Huh? You mean the one where they got 3MM more votes? That's an historic loss of epic proportions?
Considering it was against Trump: YES.

Exactly!!!
This is even worse than W. W was at least supported by his own party, some of the MSM and had, arguably, some charisma.
"Hopeless. Really hopeless. The democrtats will just blame Putin, the electoral college and will continue to do what they've been doing. People don't learn"
Don't be an idiot. I wasn't blaming the electoral college. My very next sentence put the blame where it belonged--on the candidate.
The point was that calling it an historic loss of epic proportions is ridiculous. And trying to pretend it's some monumental shift in US politics is similarly hyperbolic
