I went to the march as a way to say fuck you to Trump. Some seemed to be marching to get more rights. Based on the signs, most seemed to be marching to keep the rights that they currently enjoy. There was definitely a a common distrust and disdain for Trump. Everyone I encountered was perfectly nice and friendly. The loud and angry trigglypuff types were a tiny minority.

Agree with this move as well. There are far more important, verified problems and issues that can and need to be tackled. Note that there is a growing number of scientists that seem now predict a turnaround in temperatures, cooler winters and summers and a net gain in ice mass throughout the next decade. Even the most ardent proponents of global warming have said that 2017 will very likely not be one of the warmest years, yet still a "warm" one, whatever that means as temperatures cannot suddenly change drastically from one year to the other. IMO a "significant" cooling relative to the warming of the past decade may spell a potential reversal and cause upheaval in the scientific community.

TRump knows that those photos showing his crowd as smaller than Obama's is a conspiracy. HE saw with his own eyes that there were a lot of people there. How could it be less than 2009 and 2013 ? I'll tell you how, it's a conspiracy and those photos were a lie !

Just kidding. But I think that's what he thought, when he wigged out about stories that the crowds were much smaller than the last couple inaugurations.

If they are marching to keep the rights, then clearly Trump has not yet taken them away. Trump said everything he could think of in his campaign. Much of it was contradictory, and most of what he says today is detached from reality, so it's anybody's guess what he will do.

One specific thing that he threatened to do was put women in jail if they have abortions. He certainly has said he would do what he could do to overturn Roe V. Wade. There are many other things that Trump has done to make progressive women hate him. If you can't figure that out, you're pretty hopeless.

Metro ridership stats show Trump's inauguration had much less traffic than Obama's. It also showed that the women's March generated much more ridership than the inauguration. Sad.
