She needs to be shown what her mouth holds...

80656   joeyjojojunior   2017 Feb 8, 5:12am

Trump and Republicans are the party of FREE SPEECH!! Anyone can say what they want now and not worry about hurting the feelings of the special snowflakes, right!!??!!

Oops. I guess Sessions is a special kind of special snowflake and we can't hurt HIS feelings.

80657   joeyjojojunior   2017 Feb 8, 5:14am

"Ahhh, the display of civil Liberal Tolerance never ends..."

And the Republican tolerance is ever BETTER. It's OK to take away free speech as long as you warn someone first, huh? Is that how it works?

80658   ForcedTQ   2017 Feb 8, 5:30am

Not sure what was said, and not defending her whatsoever, but as long as someone is stating facts, true quotes, and not lies they should be allowed to continue to speak. 1st limits gov control over the goverened.

It is per senate rules. She is free to be liawatha or any of the other 37 genders and claim she is a cross from a martian and 4 Gender native american and claim Trump is Hitler.

"Unfortunately, Lizzie girl just spews her own opinion, lies and delusional Libbie crap, that's why they finally put a muzzle on her."

She read a letter from Coretta Scott King for God's sake.

80662   FNWGMOBDVZXDNW   2017 Feb 8, 7:40am

The thought of Hillary in jail is better than goat porn for piggy. Let's let him have this for his wife's sake.

80663   indigenous   2017 Feb 8, 7:41am

In all fairness health insurance is not much on the radar of this cohort.

OTOH Hillary did have the majority of the popular vote...

80664   indigenous   2017 Feb 8, 8:00am

At that age you are immortal.

80665   joeyjojojunior   2017 Feb 8, 8:00am

"Is that the ONLY thing she said?"

It's what McConnell specifically mentioned when referring to taking away her ability to speak on the Senate floor.

80666   joeyjojojunior   2017 Feb 8, 8:05am

Warren took issue with Daines' characterization and continued speaking, quoting from a letter from Coretta Scott King, Martin Luther King Jr.'s widow, before Sen. Mitch McConnell cut her off.

"The senator has impugned the motives and conduct of the senator from Alabama,” McConnell said. After that, Daines told Warren to "take her seat," he said.

"She was warned," McConnell said referring to Warren. "She was given an explanation. Nevertheless, she persisted."

80669   HEY YOU   2017 Feb 8, 8:32am

These same ASSHOLES will go into a business, that support political agendas that are against their best interest, the next day & spend money with the enemy. How many buy online from companies that donate to the enemy?
If they are not for you ,they are against you.

How STUPID!

80670   joeyjojojunior   2017 Feb 8, 8:36am

And the straw that evidently broke the camel's back was a letter from Coretta Scott King

Was it a constitutional violation or are they following procedure?

80672   MMR   2017 Feb 8, 8:48am

“The senator has impugned the motives and conduct of our colleague from Alabama,” McConnell said from the Senate floor.

“I call the senator to order under the provisions of Rule 19.”

Under the Senate’s “Rule 19,” senators are not allowed to “directly or indirectly, by any form of words impute to another Senator or to other Senators any conduct or motive unworthy or unbecoming a Senator." -- A vote of 49-43 suggested that Warren had done just that or was darn close to it.

80673   Shaman   2017 Feb 8, 8:50am

What else can you expect from a Democrat Obama crony who destroyed any semblance of peace in Chicago while mayor?
He needs to look up the definition of "winning" because presiding over the murder capital of the United States doesn't qualify.
Asshat!

80674   Shaman   2017 Feb 8, 8:50am

She's a disgrace to fake Indians everywhere!

80675   justme   2017 Feb 8, 8:52am

As usual, Ironman misses the point by a country mile, and the miss is caused by partisan blindness. Allow me to quote:

US Senate Rule XIX ( Rule 19) paragraph 2: "No Senator in debate shall, directly or indirectly, by any form of words impute to another Senator or to other Senators any conduct or motive unworthy or unbecoming a Senator."

Oh, I see. The US Senate has created a rule that directly allows the majority of the Senate to curtail the free speech of Senators. NICE. That sounds unconstitutional, if you ask me.

If Free Speech cannot be exercised in the US Senate, then where in our country do we have freedom of expression? I ask rhetorically, of course. The obvious conclusion is that the 1st Amendment of the US constitution is violated every day in the US Senate, by the mere existence of Rule 19.

80676   Shaman   2017 Feb 8, 8:54am

So all the lawyers and government workers stay home. And?
I'm convinced that lawyer college turns people into asshole Leftists. I reconnected with a college friend a year ago and (while he was an outgoing engineering student then) he had become a lawyer. And now he posts annoying Leftist crap all the time and has a big echo chamber of like minded individuals to agree. I'm just like, what happened to this guy? Law school seems like the culprit.

80677   Shaman   2017 Feb 8, 8:58am

I read another somewhat sketchy article a few days ago that claimed the FBI was waiting for Jeff Sessions to be confirmed and then making 70 arrests in the pizzagate scandal of top politicians.
Source was "FBI informant."
I can hope it's true without flat out believing it. If they're both true, could they be related?

80678   joeyjojojunior   2017 Feb 8, 8:58am

"Was it a constitutional violation or are they following procedure?"

Not sure if it's a Constitutional violation--courts would have to decide that. But it's for sure a chickenshit move. The Senate isn't worried about a potential Cabinet member having a racist past--they're just worried about someone mentioning that he has a racist past.

And all of you guys defending it are certainly huge hypocrites after spending countless threads talking about how free speech is so important. And how the special snowflakes can't handle it.

80679   HEY YOU   2017 Feb 8, 8:59am

DIE McConnell,Sessions & Republicans from horrible, painful diseases or STUPIDITY. I'll visit you in the hospital & laugh at you.
How many Republicans,in D.C. and elsewhere, are just SOCIALIST GOVT. EMPLOYEES.
How many Republicans are sucking the SOCIALIST GOVT. TEAT & don't even have to leave home to go to a SOCIALIST GOVT. JOB?
Stupid Republicans may have opened a can of worms, will the Dems listen to every word out of slime mouths & use the rule against them.
They have no control over HEY YOU,FREE SPEECH LOVING PATRIOT.
OH! WAIT! They can click ignore. COWARDS!

80680   Shaman   2017 Feb 8, 9:02am

Maybe this rule was enacted to avoid the kind of ad hominem attacks that used to lead to fist fights and brawls in Congress.
After all, calling the opposition a bunch of "poo-poo heads" is about the same as calling them "racists," and just as productive!
Limiting discourse like this is something that's done in every office and business circle.
Or do you wish we had duels still?

80681   joeyjojojunior   2017 Feb 8, 9:09am

Do you have something against free speech? Or do you ONLY want it when it benefits YOUR team?

80682   HEY YOU   2017 Feb 8, 9:42am

True, but as despicable as he is, you got to give him credit for being pretty smart for himself. He cushioned himself with a nice taxpayer paid salary, fucking up whatever he wants to, and is just street smart enough to come around with some "street talk" to keep him positioned whenever voices to fire him for his dreadful "job" swell up again.

Ironman says

"Winning's everything," he said. "If you don't win, you can't make the public policy.

This shows immense nievity. Public policy growing stands in the way of progress of the private and public sector. If you measure winning as owning public policy, this is like admitting that government should be in control of the means of production, policy, rights, thoughts.

No wonder that Chicago is like a big multi hectacre open pit jail without bars. The leaders are intrinsically corrupt to human needs.

80689   Entitlemented   2017 Feb 8, 9:56am

Quigley says

"winning" because presiding over the murder capital of the United States doesn't qualify.

This is exactly right. Hes losing, because its all about governance to improve human living, not worsening it. Is Ramn the cousin of Alinsky?

"Heartbroken Rosie Ayliffe - Mia's mother - said 'any fool can shout "Allahu Akbar" [God is great] as they commit a crime' and blasted Trump for his comments."

Right, shouting Allah Akbar and stabbing another man as well as the girl doesn't smack of terrorism.

That's like saying a Black man running around saying "Kill the White Man" while stabbing Whites can't possibly be considered a hate crime because the Mom of the dead victim(s) says so.

It is fake news if I believe the DC Snipers were Terrorists, given the contents of their diary and the fact that they killed random people to spread fear?

80693   joeyjojojunior   2017 Feb 8, 11:10am

Sure--and Patrick was on here bitching about how companies should have no right to stop their employees from expressing their opinions. I was just wondering when Patrick would be on here complaining about the Senate muzzling Warren.

But I don't suppose our resident Leftists will care for facts...
