Yup.

The Russians hacked the election means that they hacked the DNC and Clinton campaign computers and disseminated the information at the most strategic time. It also may mean that Russia employed a group of people to invent fake news and see how best to spread it on Facebook. The first part is a major problem. The second part, well, that's kind of our own dam fault. It wasn't just Russia doing that either. It turned out to be an easy way for lots of people to make easy money. It turned out that the pro Trump anti Hillary stories were shared more than the reverse, so those made up a larger part of the business.

The Russians hacked the election means that they hacked the DNC and Clinton campaign computers and disseminated the information at the most strategic time.

Evidence? The most strategic time would have been September-November, not the middle of the summer.

True or False: The DNC emails resulted in the resignation of the DNC Chair for overwhelming bias for one nominee, and further revelations resulted in her replacement resigning for leaking Debate Questions in advance to only one of the party's candidates.

Love how the Media and the Democrats are focused on the remote possibility the DNC hacks were Russian, not on the ethics of such behavior and concentrating on Party Reform.

Also, please explain why the DNC isn't turning over their server for forensic evidence by Counter-intelligence Agencies

YesYNot says

It also may mean that Russia employed a group of people to invent fake news and see how best to spread it on Facebook.

The US government has proveably done so, and not just in foreign countries. There were published contracts from the Pentagon to hire infowarriors to fight back against Iraq War skeptics and detractors, the target of influence being Americans themselves.

Also, that's not hacking, as almost everybody understands the term. And not proven.

YesYNot says

It turned out that the pro Trump anti Hillary stories were shared more than the reverse, so those made up a larger part of the business.

It's long known that conservative chain emails get shared more often, which is a similar case. This was the case long before Trump. Also, Facebook shares tend to go to people who already share similar views, like chain emails.

Yep, the RNC Convention wasn't until the end of July, where Trump was officially nominated, so he was being surveilled before he was officially the nominee.

Trump wasn't being surveilled at all. Foreign agents were.

Two possibilities to ask for the unmasking of civilians communicating with foreign agents:

- the US citizen is engaging in something illegal
- we need to know the US citizen to understand the context of what is occurring

Just appoint an independent investigation already. Administration swirling in doubt, credibility concerns, ineptitude ... and yes ... it's only been 60+ days to get here. ;)

Nobody mentions how POTUS openly interfered in the Brexit Vote, either.

Making your voice known on the issues and for candidates is far different than giving seed money to right wing organizations, hacking emails, and running a propaganda campaign.

I don't care what Russia did. I care what Trump and his administration did. It just happens they appear to have done it with the Russians.

Um, ok. For the record our intelligence is unsure of Russia's involvement. We basically just know they hack our shit, but cant say for sure where/what/how.

Rew says

I care what Trump and his administration did.

Our intelligence agencies surveilled every transcript of every conversation between Russia and Trump admin. They found zero evidence of any crime, no evidence of collusion. You are allowed to theorize all you want. At this point, if there were fire, we would have found some smoke. So far, nothing.

Using our intelligence overreach as a political weapon is a real crime w actual hard evidence.

What comes first, the investigation or the proof?

Turning over the DNC Server to Counter Intelligence Agents. I encourage all skeptics to say:

"Until the DNC turns over the server, they aren't serious about investigating jack shit, and should STFU."

rando says

But they don't care. What they really care about is the perception that there is something there, which they can maintain with their control over mainstream headlines.

120% correct.

And there was an investigation with FISC courts that turned up nothing as well, except incidental information was leaked when to Rice and Obama deliberately unmasked the individuals before sending it to all the agencies for maximum leak opportunity and make it very difficult for the ultimate leaker to be unmasked himself.

A cynical abuse of the Patriot Act.

I've come to the conclusion now that the Anti_Trump rumor mill is simply the Legacy Media engaging in a form of clickbaiting to offset their declining readership and relevance.

The WaPo is to Trump what Jezebel is to Manspreading.

Evidence?

Also, the DNC is a private group and not part of the government. If somebody hacked Open Society foundation, did they hack our election because Soros is a big player?

By the way, even if the Russians hacked the DNC, it doesn't take away from the fact that it proved what many guessed and were laughed at for:

Wasserman-Schultz "hacked" the election for Hillary, engaged in anti-Bernie strategizing, and leaked information unfriendly to Bernie to the Press.
Donna Brazille leaked debate questions in advance only to one nominee.

These are facts, and proven.

What steps are the DNC and Democrat Voters taking to ensure in future primaries, Clintonistas in leadership positions won't stack the deck and engage in underhanded activities against Nominees they don't prefer?

We had an investigation, even to the point of wiretaps on Russian Banks that involved Trump Team members, who were aggressively unmasked and the reports widely distributed on purpose within DC. Nunes said in a statement that he decided to recuse himself after “several leftwing activist groups” filed complaints with the Office of Congressional Ethics.

No doubt some idiots will lap this up and blame the 'libruls'. They won't even realize that if this excuse were true it would mean that Nunes is a total pussy who lets his actions be controlled by fringe activist groups. Why would anybody who does that be fit for public office?

You seriously do not understand very much for someone who sports a rusty badge for an avatar.

Civil oversight is the only solution at this point and not over just enforcement but over all of the rotten system which considers itself to be like a god.

Fear of the electorate did not merely leave the federal level, but our unfortunate distraction into consumerism has left EVEN local to officials carve out this sociopath-god mafia-like world for themselves.

I had the same thought. The reality is that it is hard to classify deaths as due to the heat wave or other things. Obviously with 1e9 people, on the order of 1e7 people die each year or on the order of 30K die each day. A lot of these are older people who die of heart attack, stroke, etc. It's hard to directly tie heat to these things. This is one reason that it's hard to compare death classifications between countries. I've read that we are more likely to classify a death as due to heart disease than France. This can mislead people who are comparing heart disease between the countries. I would guess that this heat took out a lot more than 2 people, but we don't know how many.

You are so full of shit, it does not even shock me anymore.
Your narrow view of America is that of someone who only knows a life of crime in the inner cities. There is more to America than the inner cities. Most Americans are middle class, suburban dwellers. Take the example of Irvine, Ca......a safe, upper middle class, well educated, professional population that seldom have problems with the law. I would consider myself as an upper class suburban dweller. My last crime was a fucking parking ticket almost 10 years ago. I don't live in Irvine, but why can't most people live in a middle class city, and just obey the law? It's not hard.
You go on and on about how America dealt you a bad hand, how horrible our system is, and how it's everyone else's fault for your situation. Stop whining.

On second thought you should stay checked out because the reason why so many less people cannot live in decent homes any more is because there are too many people like you that want to get money for nothing, more and more all the time, jobs compensate less, jobs go offshore, jobs are short term, less stability, real estate goes out of reach, never ending wars that congress has no control over, oppression of countries with resources, bases and administrations that prefer to deal with other banks and oil companies.

There you go again. A hundred million people live in decent homes. Most of them worked for their living. I never ever took a single day of unemployment even though I was unemployed at times, because I took up temporary jobs before i got the right one. My first job as a teenager was 2 hours 45 minutes away one way, in the dead of cold winter. Not once did I whine, because whining is for losers.

jazz music says

Every fucking human need stands opposed by a monster class of investors that want more money for nothing and the only wages that are not trending to zero are those paid for betrayal of the electorate and working families all over the world.

The problem is that a limit needs to be set and shareholders don't like it. Should we continue to coddle them or regulate them?

I think we should stop blaming others for our misfortunes.
