As the steroids pump up the muscles, the cheap credit pumps up the bubble.

Take away the cheap credit, the bubble must shrivel like the muscles of a girly boy cut off by his steroid pusher while living too far from the Mexican border.

How far can designer body modification analogies be stretched to explain past economic modifications of all girly boy market interventionists?

As credit is cut off, will girly boy financial geniuses lose their financial powers and be reduced to pumped up wannabes with sand kicked in their faces?

At the end of the “correction”, will the housing market/girly boys be:

10% cheaper/smaller? 20% cheaper/smaller? 30% cheaper/smaller? 40% cheaper/smaller? 50% cheaper/smaller? God help us, even cheaper or smaller than that?

NO, I tell you, this spring prices will be at an all time high and they will PUMP YOU UP UP UP!

True or not? Offended or not?

Also, I don't cheat on my boyfriend, except in hypothetical situations involving a Jake Gyllenhaal movie.

Not Jake again!

Sit newsfreak in front of CNN for 15 minutes, that should do it.

Americans suck ass and are generally stupid fucking pigs that fill their empty shallow lives with trips to the strip mall! I fucking hate hippies, personally I think they should have their hair forcibly washed and their bongs broken! Dude, I’ve licked so many boots and kissed so much ass to get to where I am at it sickens me.Yeah fucker, I bet you’re really stressed out making 160 fucking K a year!

You've really captured the essence of Surfer X, but maybe with a little more random punctuation marks thrown in.

Ha Ha
Anytime, man.

Joe Schmoe,

you said

We really don’t want a heavy footprint in Afghanistan. For one thing, we just don’t need much of our military resources in Afghanistan — we don’t need tanks, or B-2 bombers, for example, becuase the Taliban terrorists don’t have an air force or an army, and the place is nothing but mountains and caves, there are no targets there to bomb.

You're just wrong. Did you know there are a couple thousand Canadians in Kandahar right now fighting ex-Taliban because OBL is still on the loose along with Mullah Omar?

Believe me, the US has dropped plenty of bombs and it was highly effective when the Northern Front was preparing to advance on Kabul, and what do you know, it worked!

And I think the Soviets dropped a few bombs back in the 80s.

The US should have finished business in Afghanistan, stayed out of Iraq and you would be in a position now to teach Iran a lesson.

Oh well...

"President Bush believes that all people yearn for freedom."

This, precisely, is the problem.

Not everyone in the world wishes to be Americans and almost no one in the Arab world does.

You started a war, hoping to transform a region that is perfectly happy to be a theocracy and has in fact been a theocracy for 1300 years.

All you have done is stirred up a hornets nest. It is amusing to me to see you claiming that the insurgency is not growing, that the Iraqis are embracing democracy, that the Iraq War has not lowered US opinion worldwide, etc, when it is obvious to even the casual observer that the opposite is true. But I guess when you emotionally, not intellectually, wedded to an idea, no amount of evidence can reason you out of it.

I disagree that it is a waste of time to discuss things like this. A vast majority of Americans supported this war three years ago and now a vast majority are opposed. Obviously something changed their minds.
