I find it amazing how people in this giant corporations manage to fail upwards consistently.
Geitner failed his way to the top.
As did Bush Jr, and Larry Summers, off the top of my head.

Most economists that come from academia is a complete failure. I'm willing to bet their own investment portfolio returns are a complete joke. Especially those "Nobel" winners.

You should start a themed website/blog "real scientists against economists"--or something along those lines. You could have actual scientists write article after article about the keynsian economics demogoguery, as taught in our "prestigious" universities. You could go right down the list of every powerful economic beaurocrat and point out their contradicting predictions, self-serving analysis, and flat out idiocy spewing from each one of them. Then point out the power that these snake-oil economists hold over public policy. Could be funny, as well as quite the public service.
No joke, I think the idea may be winner.

Bush didn't fail his way, he was Elected. I didn't Vote for him, but that's the fact!
Geitner on the other hand, hasn't done one damn thing of Value to be where he is, other than being appointed, by undeserving Assholes like Bush and Obama.
Why do you guys cop out of every single discussion about Democrat failings like Liberal Squid spraying a Big Ole Ink Cloud of Shit, and bring up every Right wing douche bag you can condure every single time.
Just agree, once, try it! It's liberating, do you all have to go around towing the party line sucking up all the Crap they dish out on every single damn issue that comes down the pike?
Bush wasn't the head of the FED, and at least he had the good sense to hire a Fraud that had the world Duped into believing he was some kind of financial Wizard. We didn't know what an incompetent Nin Compoop he was until after, he destroyed the Economy.
Geitner was Bernake's Helicopter pilot for Christ sakes!
Here's a fun article for you:
"Former Fed Governor Mishkin Paid $124,000 to Write Glowing Report on Iceland before its Collapse; Mishkin Never Disclosed he was Paid"

Oh, and I came up with a name for the website: www.tooDUMBtoFAIL.org .
I have access to a lot of cheap developers. Can we make this happen?

This is fresh! Take it easy TOT. I was agreeing with you. As I said, Bush and Summers are merely two examples, OFF THE TOP OF MY HEAD.
Besides, have you ever read my posts? I am definitely no Democrat.

I think if the world realized that the only people capable of fixing our economic policy are either dead, or poor. There would be mass panic, worse than the Great Stock market crash of the 30's.
Keynesian economics are the Textbooks now, and if they can't get it right, then we have no economic policy or real growth prospects.

It's not a bad idea but it's an uphill battle. The sciences are being heavily tilted towards these type of macromodeling approaches in all types of fields: Theoretical Physics, Molecular Dynamics, Global Warming. Noble work, but 99.9% of their work is quite useless in the grand scheme of things. People in modeling, engineering, and theoretical sciences are heavily susceptible to believing that economists actually are experts on the macroeconomy. What most don't realize is that theoretical construct of the macroeconomy that is most widely accepted is based upon an equation that has 2 floating variables. The time independent shroedinger equation for a 2 body problem has more variables than the construct for the macro economy that consists of hundreds of millions of people producing, buying, and selling thousands of products.
Btw...I was once published by mises.org for doing just what you said.
Well, I can't balance my checkbook, nor am I able to change the oil in my car without spilling some - and I'm good at drinking if I try. I'm thinking that, using that reasoning, I'm qualified to be CEO of BP.
:)
I don't have any tattoos or piercings.
I love wearing ties, white shirts, and blue suits...ya know...respectable clothes.
I do god's work on a daily basis, which means that I step on the foreheads of the middle class reaching for my personal riches.
I am also convinced that I'm the smartest guy in the room.
Goldman Sachs upper management, here I come.
This news is about 7 weeks dated, but still interesting enough that I decided to post it.

Apparently, this booze-hound went on a 3 day drinking binge, then decided to buy up a many oil contracts as he could, without a customer asking him to. A highly illegal action for an agency broker.
Instead of being blackballed, he was labeled a "top broker" and offered a job soon after. Best quote from the article,
"The Daily Telegraph interprets his quick recovery from disgrace as proof of “how valuable top brokers are to commodity companies,†which raises a question: If the guy who got drunk and lost his company $10 million is a “top broker,†what are the rest of them like?"
Hilarious.
