with pre-tax dollars? Those amounts are withdrawn from the individual rather than "joint" paycheck, and it appears as though the
higher-paid spouse saves more on taxes if he takes them for the family.
Is this indeed the case or the numbers are eventually re-calculated somehow such that in the end it does not matter?
