listing price usually isn't arbitrary. It's based on recent comps.

if its a nice neighborhood they'll probably get close to that.

dinky room inside a prison gets built for $900K and no granite tops, Crazy stuff?

SAN QUENTIN, Calif. -- The federal court judge who stopped executions in California planned to tour the new death chamber at San Quentin State Prison Tuesday in what could be the first step towards the resumption of executions in the state.

The San Quentin death chamber that U.S. District Judge Jeremy Fogel will inspect was completed last year at a cost of $900,000. Five years ago he declared the old chamber was no good for the lethal injection process adopted more than a decade ago.

I like the description there, so I'll decode:

Realtor words - real meanings.
